I'm a company employee and members are university students.
I have job schedule and members have their class schedule.
Check-in in the daytime and pick-up at Kyoto statin in the daytime is phisically impossible.
And nobody lives in the house.
In our place check-out and check-in operation is held on the same day with different countries' guests.
Some country's guests they could not keep our rules and the manner was really bad in many cases.
For example speak big voice with alcohol in the midnight(here is very quiet area after 9 pm), smoking in front of my house, neighbors has been angry, they have come to my house to claim directly for our foreign guests, called policemen in the midnight.
They have damaged our facilities but no declaration and need additional time for repairing them. We were worried for next guests coming and inconveniences on the same day.
By such background we are strictly prohibited to check-out late, check-in early and request guests cleaning and organizing our rooms before check-out time. If the manner is really bad, sometimes we request guests to leave our home.
Our official check-out time is 10:00 am and check-in time is 18:00.
We request our guests additional charge 4,000 JPY per one person if you stay until 12:00(JST), 6,000 JPY per one person until 14:00(JST).
We request our guests additional charge 2,000 JPY per one luggage if you leave your luggages after 10:00(JST).
Manner and politeness, respect each other is the most important thing when you stay in Kyoto historical and traditional area. This is Kyoto resident's minimum rule and behavior.

Hi! I'm Harry. I was born in Osaka, graduated from university in Tokyo and have lived in Kyoto these 8 years.
I am favorite for playing music instruments such as flute, piano, guitar, rowing boat(experienced in university, even now sometimes I enjoy rowing and attending boat race with university friends on Biwako Lake), enjoy watching European football & US baseball games.
For overseas countries I have experienced to work for foreign factories as a industrial engineer, IT engineer and SCM project leader more than 20 years. I can use English and Chinese for my job.
I have lived in Singapore local apartment for three years, stayed long term business trip in Indonesia(Batam Island when it was deep jungle), China(Shenzhen, Guangzhou,Wuxi) etc. and traveled overseas countries such as Indonesia, Hong Kong, China, South Korea, Malaysia, Thailand, Cambodia, Vietnam, Philippines, UK, Germany, Switzerland, Austria, Italy, Czech Rep, Turkey, Azerbaijan and US.
In my stay I have got much help from foreign friends when I have got a temperature, lost my wallet, lost my way etc. I'd like to return my favors for all foreign friends.
Every holiday we go to temples and shrines, includes enjoying tasty Japanese food restaurants.
Kyoto is very beautiful, historical but conservative city. It's very important to know what is acceptable and what is unacceptable for foreign traveler's behavior in Kyoto. I would let you know how to enjoy your Kyoto stay 100% in my lovely precious house!
