We had an amazing experience at Persephone House. It feels much bigger than it looks in the photos, with the layout meaning that there are little surprises round every corner, and multiple ways of getting from one part of the building to the next.
Although Ioanna was not in the area, this did not matter, as she arranged for someone to meet us on our arrival, and she telephoned for a friendly chat after our first day to check that we were happy.
The kitchen is very well equipped, and the terrace areas are enormous with spectacular views. The interiors are very clean, and beautifully decorated with a strong eye for detail.
Although the village of Anatoli is semi-derelict, this gives the place a romantic air. And despite this Persephone house has all the modern facilities you need. Plenty of the neighbouring houses have been sympathetically renovated and it looks like this will continue to happen to many of the currently derelict buildings. The quiet isolation is great, but it does mean you really do need to have a car.
I thoroughly recommend Persephone house as a great place to relax and have a lazy time. We loved our time here and Ioanna as a great host.
