Welcome to Overhailes Farm B&B - an 18th century farmhouse restored in 2005 to allow optimum space and comfort for our B&B guests.
A bright and airy space, the Peach Room offers views to Traprain Law and surrounding countryside. It comes with a large ensuite bathroom
Our farmhouse sits on the side of a hill overlooking its steading and fields to the South. The River Tyne runs along the southern border of our property, with the ruins of Hailes Castle sitting directly opposite the farm (a lovely vista for the budding photographer). The farmhouse was renovated in 2005 and has acted as a B&B since 2006. We have been awarded 4 stars by Visit Scotland, the offical tourism body for Scotland. We have 2 other rooms in our B&B if you are traveling with a small group, or self-catering cottages on the steading if you'd like your own space and kitchen.
Guests have a very spacious room and ensuite bathroom, with a small second bedroom to be used as such, or as a dressing room. The dining room off of the ground floor entrance is used for breakfasts each morning.

This is a working farm so from time to time there will be agricultural sounds to accompany the surrounding landscape! Please be cautious when walking or driving around the farm.
If you plan to arrive later than 9 pm please let us know.

I'm orginialy from New York State but I have settled in East Lothian (southeast Scotland) with my Scottish husband, who farms here, and our two young boys. We live a few miles outside of East Linton, a lovely little village with pubs, a butcher, small shoppe and deli. There are various walking paths in the area that we like to explore as a family, along with our goofy dog, Barley. We try to return to NY to visit family once or twice a year, but also enjoy short trips up north to the highlands and various other areas of the UK.
