Large light room in a beautiful home in a great location

Lo spazio
Hello and welcome to our bright, beautiful and and really quite interesting home!
Your room is a large, airy, quiet loft room which used to be an artist's studio (with skylights, wooden floor, double bed, sofa, desk, wardrobe, armchair, double glazing, central heating, Bang and Olufsen TV ( works only for dvds and console games!) and free WiFi ) in a beautiful and uniquely decorated maisonette in a trendy part of town. The room is next door to the bathroom, though the bathroom is shared with the house owner. Both the bathroom and the kitchen are brand new following a complete house renovation.

Close to transport ( buses and overground 2 stops from Victoria Line)
Large variety of multi ethnic restaurants and cafes, famous Rio cinema, Arcola Theatre, Vortex Jazz Club and the largest community of artists in the UK. The renowned Ridley Rd Market is somewhere where you can buy a yam and get the West Indian lady behind you in the queue give you the recipe on how to prepare it.
Your hostess is an artist and art historian, used to travelling and meeting travellers from around the world. She will love having you in her home and make you feel very welcome. Your stay will be relaxing
but you will enjoy the vibrant and life enhancing atmosphere of the neighbourhood.

Accesso per gli ospiti
You'll have sole use of the room and shared use of the bathroom next door. Use of the kitchen for your breakfast. Utility room available in case you need to do any washing.

Altre cose da tenere a mente
Because I rent the room while at home myself, there will be the usual goings on of a busy life. occasional visitors etc. But it is a quiet household where you can be completely undisturbed. Your room is at the top of the house, a few flights of steps. There is one bathroom right next door to your room, but it is shared with me.

Whenever I tell people I live in Dalston, the response is "Wow"!
Simply the coolest place in this city , authentic and unpretentious.
My favourite places - Rio cinema ( mainstream and art house) l'Atelier cafe ( great coffee and breakfasts and lunches to die for) Red Art cafe ( one of very many Turkish eateries, cheap , fresh and delicious), Beyond Retro - (vintage clothing shop) and the Chocolate Factory, my artists' studio!

I am a professional artist and art history lecturer and divide my time between a nearby studio in the Chocolate Factory N16, and working freelance as art history lecturer with a regular job at the National Gallery where you could come on one of my regular guided tours. Some of my work takes me abroad and I had been commissioned in the past by galleries to travel to places such as India, Israel, Morocco, Australia, as well as the length and breadth of the British Isles, to prepare an exhibition. Or I might work as guest speaker on a river cruise and so had struggled with names of Hungarian artists on the Danube or spoken about German art on the Rhine. My love of art and travel means that I like my surroundings be beautiful and interesting And I enjoy sharing my home with others. I am a warm and welcoming person who takes an interest in others. I care about another's wellbeing and always try to resolve their problems and help with their anxieties. I smile quite a lot!
