This is a really easy 5 star review. Hans and his wife were extremely welcoming and kind. Both cottages I stayed in were comfortable, charming, and very reasonably priced. They have screens on all the windows so you won't have too many bugs to deal with if you keep the door closed. There are lots of friendly animals wandering around the farm like property. And although there is no AC and the power typically goes out for a good portion of the day, the cabins are equipped with fans and most of the property is shaded by big trees. At the peak of the summer I was able to sleep quite well (you're going to be woken up every now and then by roosters and perhaps by fruits/nuts falling onto the roof of the cottages, but I stayed in the heart of the town as well and the roosters were even louder there). I didn't use the wifi much as I was out and about during the day but I got a local sim card and was able to send and receive (SENSITIVE CONTENTS HIDDEN)/(SENSITIVE CONTENTS HIDDEN) messages from my cottage. The location is about a 10 minute walk from the center of town, which I found to be perfect as the center can get quite loud when the bars are playing music. Again, this may not be luxury, but for a comfortable and charming stay with generous and friendly hosts this is really the best you can do!
