This lovable 1950s home is a blast from the past in the fabulous neighbourhood of Norwood Hill, towards the Campbell's Creek end of Castlemaine.
A good walk to the centre of town and to Castlemaine Railway Station, it is a stone's throw from the Goldfields Walking Track, the Castlemaine Secondary School, and close to parks and reserves.
The Main Castle offers you 2 bedrooms, each with a queen bed with futon on slats. Wardrobes are provided, and the furnishings are a combination of retro and antique. One bedroom is carpeted with back garden views, the other has natural timber floor boards and a view to the distant mountains.
The house has one bathroom and one separate (indoor) toilet. There is a laundry for longer stays, and the house has good gas heating in the lounge room, and great airflow in summer. The lounge room is comfortable and light, with a stereo and a CD player for your use.
There's a well-equipped kitchen, a great shower (over bath) and our breakfast provisions are mostly organic.
There is no television or Internet here, but we do have an ironing board, hair dryer and of course you will be provided with bed linen and towels, as well as dressing gowns.
We have a huge (really huge) back garden which is currently being converted into a food garden. There's plenty of outdoor space to play, and there are plenty of shaded areas to read, eat, or just lie around. The outdoor timber furniture seats 4-5 people comfortably. '
The house is secure and the back yard is fully fenced with locked gates, making it safe for children and (non-digging) small dogs.
Please feel free to ask any questions! We think you'll really like it here.
