• Remove your shoes.

• Do not engage in illegal activities anywhere on the property.

We arrived on the F train and found Evelyn's apartment with no problem at all using her directions. We arrived at the apartment and were met at the door by Evelyn who could not have been more personable or welcoming. We were given a tour of our rental and were briefed on different features of the apartment.
The rental is beautiful and appears just as it does in the photo's.
Evelyn had gone out of her way to have the kitchen stocked with breakfast item's such as hot & cold cereal, tea, coffee etc.. as well as stocking the fridge with fresh milk, egg's and bread, which we unfortunately didn't get a chance to eat because of all the great restaurant's in the area.
The area around Evelyn's place was close to everything and very easy and safe to walk around day and night.
On the night before check out Evelyn even gave us the option to check out later if we liked which was very nice.
We highly recommend this rental for your NYC getaway.
I had a wonderful stay in Evelyn's beautifully decorated apartment. It's a clean and organized space and quite frankly an amazing space to recline after a heavy day of tourism. As a host, Evelyn is very informative and welcoming. You are guaranteed a wonderful stay here!
Evelyn is a terrific host who thinks of everything. The upstairs apartment is a private sanctuary, fully outfitted with everything you need for your NYC home base.
Evelyn is the best host I have had so far. She goes above and beyond to make sure your stay is perfect and she also provides you with tons of information about your surroundings (where to eat, where to shop, etc.). Her place is very nicely designed and very homey. All in all an awesome experience.
Evelyn was very helpful. The apartment was lovely, very clean, very warm and contained all that could be needed and more. Evelyn has a book of useful advice in the apartment and was on hand to offer assistance. The apartment is near to means of transport and conveninent for Central Manhattan and for other parts of Brooklyn.
This was our first Airbnb experience and it couldn't have been better! We stayed at Evelyn's for ten days and had a wonderful time in her lovely apartment. We are a family of five, all grown ups, and the apartment was big enough for us. It had everything that we needed.
Evelyn is a fantastic person, warm, kind and funny! She really made us feel like home!
Her book with information was very useful, we tried a couple of the restaurants she recommended - all of them with very good food and drinks.
The neighborhood is fantastic, a lot of shops, restaurants, bars and the lovely Prospect Park.
The subway is not far away and it is easy to go to Manhattan, just about half an hour.
We will definitely stay at Evelyn's again if we had a chance and we will recommend this place to everyone!
I've stayed in over a dozen Airbnb apartments and this has been my best experience yet. Evelyn has this down to a science. She sent detailed communication (predicting every question I could have) well in advance of my trip and was extremely organized.
We were a couple and a family with one young child and we stayed five nights. I was originally concerned the location would be too much of a commute but I was wrong. The lower manhattan is about 25 minutes and mid town was about 40 *door to door*. The commute was a welcome rest after a long day of walking. I also loved the park slope neighborhood. All previous reviews were correct, extremely safe and you have everything within a 10 minute (very pleasant) walk. Lot's of character and very welcome.
The apartment had everything we could ever need. All cooking utensils for cooking full meals and even the basics were provided so we didn't have to run out right away. The apartment was more than enough space for us and it was a relaxing haven at the end of the day.
Now where Evelyn goes above and beyond is the materials she provides. Endless information on NY (tourist books and maps) and a custom guide to her neighborhood and how to get to bars, restaurants, and grocery stores.
I was delighted. I just can't describe how great this place was. Thank you Evelyn!

Thanks to Airbnb, Eveland Bed and Breakfast was born in 2010, me a while before then. I was raised on the island of Puerto Rico and have lived in Brooklyn for over 20 years. Si, se habla espanol. I have lived in my current home for over ten years. I loved it from the moment I saw it and lots of guests have felt that same cozy, warm feeling as well. It's an delightful retreat after a day enjoying the "city" buzz.
