INCREDIBLE PLACE! At first I was a bit worried that there were no aircons and only fans in the rooms but some nights we even had to turn off the fan because the forest made the whole place cool. The place was absolutely perfect! Especially anywhere else in the philippines you'd be looking to pay double for a whole lot less. The room was simple and clean but by golly the water you bathed in was so pure and light i didnt even have to put lotion on afterwards. And the food was amazing. Half the price you'd get from any other crummy resort but at Babak's it tasted so good and fresh. I was so impressed. I've been to a lot of resorts in the Philippines, but these guys really knew what they were doing and how to work with the ingredients they had. Their calamaris was just as good better than the one I had at The Shangri-la the week prior. Surfer & Yogi duo really worked out exactly what we as guests needed. Couldnt ask for a better place to stay in a more magical location. If you want to get away from the rat race and finish your book. This place is for you. They had hammocks in every bungalow. Paddleboards and surf boards for rent No signal + no Wifi = no problems :) And if you're a dog person, you HAVE to stay here. I died and went to heaven. When we first arrived, we were even greeted by Pablo, with jumps and kisses. There were no other guests but there were lots of dogs. This place is really my happy place. Already making plans to go back. Pablo the dog even knocked on our room a couple nights and stayed with us and even walked us out to the road when we left. I know it's cheesy to say but the staff really was friendly and attentive. They really were so sweet, at the time only about 2 or 3 workers there but they always kept busy and asked us if we needed anything. And Jackie, i really couldnt asked for a better host. It wasnt like going to a resort or a business transaction, but more like visiting an old friend. She's the type of person everybody likes and gets along with. The only downside to the place is that they did such a great job in such a remote place that it's gonna make spending money at another resort anywhere else in the Philippines a lot harder. for double or even tripple the price youd be spending somewhere else, you'll leave disappoited. you might as well extend your stay at Babak's because you know you'll be getting good quality food and service for a fraction of the price. They seriously set the bar pretty high. Area. The beach out front was a rocky beach, so not something you could lay out and tan on. But if you're a surfer like my...
