Perfect retreat for peaceful indulgence.
Available for ONE MONTH or longer.
The Santa Barbara Bluffs are a hidden treasure few tourists know about, yet, we are less than 15 minutes from downtown and 2 minutes from the 101. Fine dining and a world class spa are available at the beautiful Bacara Resort less than 1 mile up the beach.
This is a rare opportunity to stay in one of the most coveted enclaves on the Pacific Coast. You will feel like you are in southern Spain or Italy.
The Casitas is new construction and seldom used so we decided to make it available to traveling guests. The Native landscaping won national recognition in 2014 for beauty and sustainability. It features a hand carved granite fire pit, an arbor-sculpted fig gazebo, and a natural rock fountain.
The Casitas has two sets of French doors that open to a spacious interior courtyard. Access to the main house is also through this charming courtyard.
The path to the beach, the Monarch butterfly preserves and Sandpiper golf course is alongside the Garden. The courtyard, front and back gardens and Bluff trails are available for the Guests' use and enjoyment. The casitas has a small kitchen area with cooking essentials, but if you love to cook, arrangements can be made to use the kitchen in the villa.

I am a writer, my husband is an artist. When we were first married and living in LA we would drive to Santa Barbara and say, "Who gets to live here? Who are the people that can call this paradise home?"
17 years ago, we decided to make our dream happen. We've never looked back. We have a 120 year old historic estate across from the mission as well as this bluff top beach house. We are comfortable sharing our properties with world travelers and even backyard travelers.
We once owned a 7 bedroom B&B log cabin in the mountains, so we know sometimes guests want to be left alone, and other times guests like to share a sunset glass of Chardonnay with their hosts. It's up to you. We are easy, and I've been told my husband is very funny.
“Travel is fatal to prejudice, bigotry, and narrow-mindedness, and many of our people need it sorely on these accounts. Broad, wholesome, charitable views of men and things cannot be acquired by vegetating in one little corner of the earth all one’s lifetime.” – Mark Twain, The Innocents Abroad
