Quaint, rustic, open style, cottage in the Laurentians. Large property, river with great swimming hole a 5 minute walk. Includes use of the canoe, kayak and trampoline. Close to bike and hiking. Mont Tremblant 35 min. For nature lovers & families!

The first thing you may notice when you arrive is the fresh air, scented with pine.
This place is my peace and my refuge. I used to live here full time, raised my children here and kept animals and lots of gardens, some of which still adorn the property. At night there are fireflies, the sky is clear and millions of stars are visible, the sound of crickets and the wind in the trees lulls you to sleep. There are animals around, such as deer, racoons, and turtles, wild turkeys and more. Sometimes you can hear owls or coyotes in the distance at night. It's all very safe!

The house is mostly renovated with some rustic appeal, and basically, but comfortably equipped. I do not use chemical cleaners or herbicides or pesticides and consider the place organic.

Full access to the house, but not to the barn or garage. There are 3.5 acres on a little river, which you are free to explore. There is a fire pit to use and a small sandy area for your child to play in.

I don't mind if you bring your dog, but make sure it stays off of the road. Please don't leave it in the house to scratch or mess up when you go out!

There is a DVD and a VHS player. You will need to bring your speakers for your own music, as there is no music player there. There are books and games, as well as a canoe, a one-person kayak and a trampoline, which you are free to use.

I won't be around, but Nathalie and Eric can help you out if need be. You can also text or email me if you have concerns or questions.

This is a rural and quiet neighbourhood. The house is on a gravel road, but not far from a paved road. Neighbours are friendly. Neighbours often get together at the bridge down the road where there is a beautiful sandy beach on the river. It's private, but accessible.

There are trails that go up the mountain facing the house. You are free to walk there.

You definitely need a car to use this rural property. Closest convenience store is about 10 km away. Larger towns of Mont Tremblant, St. Sauveur and Lachute are all about 35 minutes away. There are bike trails about 5 km. away. And some good hiking nearby.
It takes about 45 min. by canoe to get to the lake, and a bit longer to get home again. It's a winding beautiful, little river.

There is a very small pond surrounded by garden, but not fenced.
There is a small propane BBQ.

I expect guests to respect the house and premises, to not smoke in the house, to leave it the way they found it and not use chemical cleaning products. This is an organic property.
Though it is the country and neighbours are far, sound travels. Respect the peace!
When you make a campfire, make sure to have the hose handy. Keep it small and douse the fire when you're done. If it's really dry weather, skip the fire.

I'm a busy grand mother living in two places and wanting to share them. This country home is my refuge and my peace and I'm sure you'll find that here too. It's a beautiful area with friendly neighbours and lots to do, or little if that's what you prefer. If you love nature this is right for you.

I used to live here full time, raised my children here, called it my homestead. We had a variety of animals, lots of vegetable gardens and flowers everywhere. It was a wonderful way to raise kids. Now I use it as a get away place when I need peace and quiet.
