Modern, light, bright 'Upside down' house, cosy and snug, ideal for couples but with space for up 4 people across 2 bedrooms, - one room with a king size double and the smaller room, standard single bunk beds. Open-plan kitchen/living area upstairs. Balcony overlooks the Glaslyn estuary and the Ffestiniog railway. Fantastic location, Porthmadog has something for everyone to enjoy whether it be mountains walks, seaside, dining out, bars, shopping or use as a base for the Lleyn Peninsula.
The bathroom and kitchen are streamlined and modern. The bedrooms on the ground floor are both light and airy and have storage heaters which come on during the night. The main bedroom has 2 wardrobes - there is no wardrobe in the second bedroom. Please note: Duvets and pillows are provided, but we ask that guests bring their own sheets, pillowcases and duvet covers as well as towel. Upstairs the living area is one compact open-plan area looking out over the balcony to stunning views of the estuary, mountains and sea. There is a small sofa, an armchair, TV, dining table and kitchen. The heater here has an integrated convector heater.
All of the property is included in the rental apart from the under-stairs cupboard. For reasons of safety, please DO NOT USE the ladder fixed to the balcony. Please help yourself to any provisions in the cupboards such as tea, coffee, cooking oils, salt etc. If you need to access emergency reserves of bedding and towels please message me so I can alert housekeeping.

We live some distance away and rely on our trusted housekeeping staff and caretakers to support us with our Airbnb, however I am contactable via a UK mobile phone, What's app, text and email during your stay for advice and support. If you contact me within reasonable hours, I will do my best to coordinate help locally if you need it.
I usually message guest around tea-time on the day of arrival to make sure everything is ok.

Internet is broadband from our BT Hub. There is a laundrette in the town if you need to do some washing.
Please bring your own towels and bed-linen.
Storage heaters work by using night-time economy 7 electricity. They come on at night and heat up while you sleep. The bedrooms are therefore lovely and warm when you wake and should stay warm all day.
The booking needs to be made by the person travelling to the property, bookings made for a third party are against Airbnb guidelines.

We rely totally on guests to respect the property and consider the needs of the next guests e.g. by making sure all washing up is done, some toilet roll left, etc.
If you do arrive and find any significant issues, please let me know as soon as you can, preferably before you unpack. I can then liaise with the housekeeper to come round to the house and resolve the issue if contact is made at a reasonable time of day.
Please take good care of everything so that it is welcoming for the next guests, replace any consumables you have been using if they are completely used up or getting low, such as loo roll.
Please use bin liners/ carrier bags in the bins.
We do not carry spare light bulbs due to the limited space in the house - if a light bulb blows replacement bulbs can be obtained from Wilkinsons in the town.

My husband Clive and I moved to Majorca in March and run our holiday let with the help of our housekeeping company based in the town of Porthmadog. We have travelled worldwide as guests with Airbnb many times - we are very excited now to be offering our own 'home by the sea' for Airbnb guests to enjoy. Location, comfortable beds, a well-equipped modern kitchen and bathroom are most important to me and I have prioritised these features in our house.
