Recently renewed, the apartment Il Mezzà is located on the ground floor, on a wing of the Papafava dei Carraresi Palace, a family that descends from the rulers of Padova in the 14th century, the Da Carrara.
Besides its exclusive location, the style and furniture of the apartment remind that of the palace: the living room and the bedroom face the spacious courtyard and are flooded with light. The kitchen and the bathroom have both a large window facing Via Marsala, which is a central secondary road with very little traffic. You can have your meals in the spacious living room or more cozily in the kitchen.
The living room has a comfortable double sofa bed in case you need some extra sleeps. The apartment has 2 entrances, one through the main entrance hall of the palace and the second one through a back courtyard with a big palm tree, here, upon request a car park is available for our guests.

I'll take care of every detail before the guests' arrival and stay in touch with them to help plan their stay in Padua, but I will not meet them personally. On arrival they will meet Countess Francesca Papafava dei Carraresi, who lives in the palace and is also the person in charge for the check in. She has been living in Padua since many years, so she'll be able to give you precious tips about the city and its surroundings.
The neighborhood is one of the oldest and most charming of Padua. Just a stone's throw from the apartment you will find excellent restaurants, trendy bars where to taste the typical aperitivo, the so called "spritz".
It will be fun to mix with locals while buying fresh groceries in Piazza delle Erbe, the famous open air market in Padua, with delicatessen from all of the italian regions.
A few hundreds meters away you will reach the ghetto area, which has preserved all of its old fascination, with the narrow alleys and the antique dealers shop.
Un giro nei dintorni
The area has limited traffic access, which makes it quiet, but at the same time it is very well served by public transportation and taxi.
The rail way station is very easy to reach, by foot it takes 20 minutes and if you like to use public transportation the bus stop is 4 min walk from the apartment.
From Padova you can easily reach both by car or by train the most beautiful cities of art Venice, Verona, Vicenza, Ferrara, Bologna and many others.
Please notice that this is a non-smoking house, you can smoke in the courtyard.
Pets only upon request (€ 10/day each).
Check in after 8pm € 30,00 (to be paid cash)
Parking € 20,00 per day, maximum € 80,00 per week (to be paid cash on arrival), including the permission to enter the limited traffic zone where the apartment is located. Please confirm your plate number and the driver's name 6/7 days before arrival so that we can provide the permission.
We kindly ask you to confirm your arrival time some days ahead. Arrivals after 7pm will be charged € 30,00, while any arrival after midnight has to be discussed prior to booking.

Hi! My name is Anna and I have been working as a travel consultant and event planner for 6 years; I love to travel, I'd hit the road all the time! I am also fond of art, especially rock painting, photography and recycled art. I own an apartment in Venice, which I rent out for holidays ("the most romantic apartment in Venice") and I manage several other apartments in Veneto: I am deeply in love with my region, so rich of beauty and culture! No matter if you are visiting Venice, Padua, or the Euganean Hills: each place has something unique and I am looking forward to helping you plan a holiday that will stay in your heart forever!
