Christinas House was the perfect place to stay. Upon our very first arrival into Camotes, we were greeted by Jane and Brando with a moto-taxi. They made us feel super welcome (4 adults) and were more than happy to stop for supplies at the markets on the way to the house. It's about a 30 minute trip, it's super scenic and as there's limited roads to chose from, you get a good idea of where the major sights are along the way. We could not believe the beautiful views that we had from our first floor apartment. The rooms were of a good size. The facilities were good - filtered water, kitchen utensils, outdoor dining, plenty of space. The bathroom is very clean and really large, however there is no hot water (though we traveled in June so cool water was very welcome). The pool area was very clean, private and again, you cannot beat the views. Had there been more shade, we could have spent our entire time there. We walked down to Santiago Beach daily (you have to eat at Pito's) restaurant - delish) and the walk is not more than 5 minutes. Jane and Brando helped us with motorbike hire on several of our days here and gave us a hand with directions. Jane even chaperoned us on the bikes the first time we went into town. And they were most accommodating when one of us became extremely ill and had to see a doctor.. Jane and Brando took us into town with no questions asked and helped us try to find a doctor and eventually waited many hours while our friend was at the hospital. They drove us around getting medical and food supplies and let us extend 3 more nights with no troubles at all. We're so grateful for all of the help they gave us from the kindness of the heart. I would recommend anyone to stay here - groups, couples, families in particular. I think at least 5 nights is required. There are so many amazing places to visit from here as well Buho Rock (at high tide - so fun), Paraiso Cave, Lake Danao, Mangodlong Beach, Bacau Beach and some falls if you're lucky. But the highlight was the beach not more than 5 minutes away (Santiago Beach). The private beach at the house is not as amazing as you would hope as it is quite dirty (rubbish that washes up is not cleared away) and it is right by a cemetery. We didn't spend much time here at all and it's only a quick walk to the BEAUTIFUL Santiago Beach. I would definitely stay here again though and I would recommend my friends to stay also.
