Set in the heart of Sheung Wan area, across from the Sun Yet Sen Memorial Park & swimming pool both looking out over the world famous Victoria Harbor.New eateries & galleries are rejuvenating the traditional neighbourhood showcasing the new&old of HK
This cozy apartment comfortably accommodates a single traveler or a couple visiting Hong Kong. It has a full bathroom that has an enclosed shower with water heater. It has an open kitchen with electric cooker and microwave oven. One comfortable real bed (Not a futon or pullout sofa) that sleeps up to a couple. A wall mounted TV with DVD player and solid wireless internet access. But the best thing about this apartment is it's location. It is close to all sorts of transportation that take you to everywhere you would want to go to in Hong Kong. Located on the West side of Hong Kong in the Sheung Wan district, it is 5 minutes walking distance from the Sheung Wan MTR Station and 5 minutes from the foreign friendly district Soho (South of Hollywood Rd). It is only a few stops away from the Central MTR station on the Tram or bus and the neighborhood is super safe and friendly. Also, there is a 7 Eleven convenient store and a Laundry Place right around the corner.
**In the past I have borrowed out adapters for FREE to guests as a courtesy and convenience, however, too many have not been returned (over 50) and I can no longer keep up with restocking. Unfortunately, I can't provide these for free but if necessary, will sell them AT COST (@HKD20) instead. Sorry that this gesture failed.
Guests have access to:

As much as possible or invisible if you want. I will try to meet with arriving guests and show them the area. Whenever guests need information or recommendations, I am always available via messaging or phone.
The Sheung Wan neighbourhood is ever changing and a fantastic mix of "old' and "new" Hong Kong. This apartment is located in the heart of Hong Kong's commercial, cultural and shopping districts and within short walking distance to the subway and HK Macau Ferry Pier. A few minutes walk away from the harbour front and the fantastic Sun Yat Sun Memorial Park and Public swimming pool over look the world famous Victoria Harbor.
The Sheung Wan MTR station is but 8 min walking distance away that takes you all over Hong Kong and Kowloon. There are also buses, trams, minibuses that run near the doorstep of the building on Des Voeux Road West Road and take you to every corner of the island and beyond.
Once you arrive in Hong Kong, everything is quite simple and all starts with a call from the FREE phones at the airport located in the hall immediately after you pass through baggage customs. There is also a Visitors Center there if you would like to pick up some maps, local travel guides, etc. to read on your way to the apartment. If you need a local SIM card, there is a 7-11 in the middle section of the main arrival hall where they see all types of SIM cards, I usually prefer the PCCW brand as it is the larges local operator.

I had a wonderful stay at Brendan's Sheung Wan flat. Everything was as pictured, and he and his family were very helpful. I was met at the door the day I arrived and given information regarding the air conditioner, Internet, etc. The flat itself is well stocked with towels, soaps, brochures, utensils and other essentials. Each morning, I'd put the kettle on and have tea or coffee, yogurt and fruit. This cut down substantially on my costs, meaning I could do more travelling in the surrounding areas or what not. The bed was super comfortable, and the area itself is quiet. It was very restful after a long day of touring. The flat is in a good location, too. The Sheung Wan subway station is about seven blocks away, and there are numerous 7-11s or other convenience shops nearby if needed. I will stay here again the next time I'm in HK! It was great.
The apartment is located on a small side street between two major thoroughfares with plenty of transport connections across Hong Kong Island. While it's situated in a neighborhood that's quite busy during the day, the well insulated windows block out much of the noise. Even though the flat is quite small, it was clean and is good value for one or two persons looking to stay in Sheung Wan.
Overall we had a good stay at the apartment despite a few misunderstandings. The apt is in a great location walking distance to the subway, ferries, and the 7-11. The apt was small but clean . Brandon has a folder in the apt with lots of helpful information about hong kong . The hot water did not stay hot for very long but it was not a big deal.
There was a bit of a misunderstanding when we arrived in the morning as we were told to call Brandon from the airport but no one answered the phone. When we got to Hong Kong station none of the cab drivers knew how to get to the flat. Luckily I had them try Brandon's number again and then someone picked up the phone and told the cab driver where to go. Then when we got to the building no one was there to greet us so I had to ask a security guard at the building across the street to call Brandon again to let us in. We did arrive at 10 in the morning so I understand that the apartment may not have been ready yet but I did inform Brandon of our arrival time and just followed his instructions. Everything worked out in the end and we had a good stay.
Brendan's place was great and exactly what I was looking for - cheap and cheerful and space to come and go as I please. Brendan and his Mom were helpful and responsive throughout, dealing with any questions I had promptly. The place isn't terribly big but they've tried to make it as comfortable as possible and really it's a bargain for this city and the location is perfect. Highly recommended!
The place was clean and small. However, for Hong Kong, small is what you will always get with apartment rentals. The whole check-in and check-out process ran pretty smoothly as Brendan quickly responded to my queries most of the time.
Since the apartment was very close to the water, it gets damp very easily. The host that greeted us had advised us to keep the fan on at all times (in order to help with the dampness). Overall, the stay at Brendan's was short and simple. My friend and I were able to walk into Central/Sheung Wan within 10-20 minutes.
One thing that I did notice was that the bathroom tends to flood up with water. Not too sure if this is just for my room, but it weirded me and my friend out when we heard noises coming from the bathroom. Then moments later, the water ran upwards from the drain, and then back down again. It wasn't too bothersome, but was a little funky.
The apartment was exactly as described. It's kinda small but it fitted our needs and the price is more than competitibe compared with a private room in a hostel.
Location is very near to Central in hong kong about just 50m. from one of the main roads in Hong Kon island so getting anywhere is very easy via Tram, Bus or Subway.
Brendan was always available and communication via Whatsapp was very simple.
We had a little problem with the bathroom, it will flood when taking a shower, we communicated that to Brendan who responded that it would be fix but the fix never happened. It wasn't a serious problem but it was something that should be fix.
All in all I recommend this appartment, thanks Brendan!
The apt. was exactly as described and all was ok. The hosts are very friendly and we had some good days in HK. Thank you for all.
My wife and I stayed here for over 2 weeks. Brendan is a very attentive and responsive host. The pictures adequately represents the space and the neighborhood is perfectly located, the tram is a few steps away, there is a 7-11 nearby and you are a few minutes away from Central. Above all the apartment is perfectly priced, clean and comfortable to sleep in. Highly recommended if staying in HK.
Despite everything below, the rental is solid.
I would describe the experience as camping in a trailer. Very tight, I would say about a small to mid-size airstream. We brought two sets of Samsonite 2 piece luggage (1 carry on, 1 full size) and it was a daily game of shuffling to move around. At night we needed to stack the luggage to comfortably move around, but would need to restack them when we needed something out of them.
There is a hot water shower, but no hot water from the sink. There’s no bathroom mirror. One other thing, when you sit down on the toilet, I can rest my chin on the sink.
The rental is actually a room within an apartment. Looks like an apartment that was subdivided into 6 rooms. They are all independent, all have their own toilet and shower as described, but my room was located past a very narrow corridor, we had to walk sideways. The drains seems to be interconnected and you can hear the neighbors flush. The sound proofing is good didn’t hear any conversations.
Our rental was located right next to an alley and it is very noisy in the morning. Sounded like garbage is hauled out daily. Once in a while we would smell the food exhaust, but they are very brief. We arrived the day after Chinese New Year and everything was closed, so the apartment was actually quite pleasant, but when everything picked up there is a lot of activity.
Brendan is very attentive, but he manages a lot of properties, so uncommon items can be missed sometimes. They have towels and toiletries available all the time. I asked for an extra blanket and key that never arrived. The weather got warm and it was toward the end of our trip, so I never bothered reminding him. We had the heater on all night full blast. The room is muggy, so I would recommend changing towels every few days.
The wifi is a little spotty, I would get a strong signal one minute, but then would completely drop. I had a mobile hot spot and the cell reception was solid so I never bothered asking him to address the wifi situation.
Finally, there is one really weird doorman. He stares at you when you enter, even after seeing him two weeks straight every single day. He stares at you like he never seen you. The other 4 are very friendly thou.
Again solid rental will definitely come back.
First of all, you get what you paid for - the room is quite small for two people, but it's definitely a very good location (MTR, tram and ferry terminal are within walking distance).
The room has great amenities, very clean and cute, so I enjoyed my stay there and will recommend the place for travellers who spend most of the time walking and experiencing HK.
Brandon had great directions to the place and obtaining keys was easy. First time using AirBnB. Place was clean. No complaints here.
