This business has only four available units and thus is very private, usually very quiet. It is suitable for singles, couples, and families as well.

Guests are very welcome to use the main front yard with campfire and plenty of chairs, as well as the entire beachfront overlooking the magnificent Lower Arrow Lake.

The comments speak for themselves. I am very supportive of my guests and am most willing to help with anything they may require.

Our neighbourhood is out in the big forest of the West Columbia. There are many hiking trails, places to walk, and places to visit within driving distance. Recommended is the new Burton Cidery with state-of-the-art equipment making fresh ciders from Ancient apple varieties. AT this point, we have no restaurant, but there are many in nearby Nakusp.

We are not close to public transportation so you will probably arrive by your own vehicle. Highway 6 is our thoroughfare and will take you over the mountains to Vernon, Kelowna, etc. and bring you in from Naskusp.

The Hummingbird Cabins are rustic, yet well built, very comfortable and clean. Always good to bring a cooler with your favourite groceries, beverages, and snacks.

Leslie was exceptionally friendly and the property is very rugged and pristine. It was well maintained and clean. However, it would have been helpful to have advertised it as sleeping cabins only. The owner tried to give us cooking capacity by including a tent trailer with a sink, water and 3 burner exterior camp stove and 2 queen beds for a discounted cost which we appreciated. The tent trailer beds were not comfortable. There were 2 very comfortable queen beds in the cabin and 2 bunk beds which made us wonder why there were only 3 cups and 4 plates and 4 glasses with a full8 person set of cutlery. The cabin had electrical outlets which gave us ability to plug in personal equipment we brought but there was no outside cover on the balcony so using the supplied table top barbeque was out of the question since it rained most of the weekend. The tent trailer had a canopy but it didn't extend to the eating table. We found a tarp under the trailer which we rigged to extend over the table that allowed us to eat and cook out of the rain. The bathroom building was clean and well equipped although the advertised shampoo was body wash and conditioner. The advertised picture is taken off the owner's balcony which is close to the water but about 300 feet from our rented cabin. There is good reason to call this place Hummingbird cabins. We were given breakfast the first morning of fresh fruit and yogurt with a delicious fresh raspberry muffin. Very yummy. The hummingbirds were plentiful and as we sat on the owner's charming balcony they put on quite a show. However we decided to forego breakfast the next morning because we weren't interested in having to wake up at a certain time, and we had brought lots of food of our own. It is important to let future visitors know in the ad that there is no running water and no kichenette in the cabins. If you are staying over night that is no problem, but staying for any extended time folks should know that you need to bring camping supplies. All in all, we enjoyed our stay very much. We found the host owner to be warm, friendly and highly engaging and the area of Fauquier is rustic and beautiful.

Enjoy people tremendously. Live in Mexico in winter with my large Maine Coon cat named "The Bear". Life motto is "Carpe Diem" - live each day to the fullest.
