A cute and comfy row house in a beautiful, diverse neighborhood, located a stones throw from a Whole Foods and a dozen well rated restaurants, this house is only a 10-15 minute walk to Union Station metro stop--enabling you to get to any place in the district within 30 minutes--and a 20 minute walk from the Capitol building and the National Mall. Not only is the location perfect, but the house is cozy and comfortable. Right through the door is a kitchen and dining area--a place to make food and talk while preparing to head out into the district. At the back of the house on the first floor is a spacious living room with an exit to a back yard. (There's also a small bathroom between the kitchen and living room.) The two bedrooms upstairs are comfy, and one of them is spacious and overlooks the street with green boughs from nearby trees shading the view. There is also a lounge area on the roof that's accessible through two stairwells--one in the backyard and one on the second floor--which is great for sunny days and warm nights. The house is also well decorated. Finally, Rosevelt is a friendly and welcoming host who gives attention to detail. For example, he made sure that there were spare umbrellas in the front entrance and that we had clean towels throughout the week. This is a five star accommodation. It is hard to imagine a better place to stay while visiting the nation's capitol.
