Excellent communication from host, well-organized and attractive space, with a well-outfitted kitchen and comfortable beds. It's a bit cold for a Fall stay, especially if you don't use the propane heater a lot. Location is quite nice- my kids liked checking out the woods immediately next to the cabin, there's a nice view of the river. One exception to otherwise excellent communication: The tapwater smells *very* strongly of sulfur, and there wasn't any notice related to this in the house. Most people wouldn't drink water with such a strong smell, but it would be good to have assurance whether it is safe for bathing, washing, and cooking.

Risposta di Mary:
The water is well water and a slight sulfur smell is common in this area. There is a massive filtration system in the shed behind cabin #1, the water is tested twice a year and is quite potable. We also provide a 5 gallon jug of bottled water on the porch.

Mary herself is welcoming and personable. Meeting her felt more like meeting a former neighbor or friend. She was at the cabin when we arrived (with her sweet corgi). The cabin was represented well in the photos and description so there were no unpleasant surprises; just a charming, simple but accommodating cabin in a picturesque setting across the street from the Susquehanna River. There were charming touches in the cabin; the bathroom sink, the old-timey kitchen sink, the window latches to name a few. Myself and my family so enjoyed sitting on the deck with libations and bbq catching up and talking about old times too. The kayak rental place, EMO, was a 5 minute walk up the way, and one day we rented a few and floated down the river at a leisurely pace. There were other sights and attractions all around us too. We loved Sugar Run (trucking traffic aside) and especially the cabin! I'll definitely make Mary's Sugar Run cabin a tradition. THANK YOU !

My husband and I have been residents of the NEPA Endless Mt area for 17 years. We own a small farm just outside of Meshoppen where we reside with our 9 horses, as well as, some ducks and one very spoiled Pembroke Welsh Corgi (Willow).

We keep a large garden and sometimes share a bit with our our guests check-in. I also enjoy crafting, embroidery and up-cycling. Keith is a computer technician on site at the P&G plant in Mehoopany, as well as, a musician (drummer and guitarist).

We have enjoyed upgrading the cabins and look forward to meeting all our guests this season.
