It'll be like you have the whole house all to yourself, and when I'm home I respect people's space and privacy. (So yes I will be in the house while you are here)
This is a large mediterranean style house. As you can see from the pictures its very spacious and light-filled on a dead end block. So it is very quiet and private, last house on the block. I also have a large backyard and deck with a propane grill available for use. Upon arrival you will have clean sheets, towels and wash cloths. I also have a hair dyer available for use if needed.
The house is also around the block from the bee line bus (number 2 or 6 line) that you can take to Getty square(Yonkers train station) or to the number 1 train(242nd street) to NYC or anywhere else you need to go in Westchester county. If you have a car its a 10 minute drive or a 20 minute walk to the metro north station(glenwood station) which is 35 minutes from Grand Central and 15 minutes to Yankee Stadium. My house is only a 5 minute drive from the Dunwoodie golf course and 10 minutes away from Vancourtland park golf course as well. Everything is in close proximity when you have a car. I have enough room for three cars in my driveway and there is also plenty of street parking on the block.
Of course there is free wifi (fios). There is also an iMac 24" available for use on the premises. I also have multi-room DVR so if you need to tape one of your shows there is more then enough space on the DVR to tape it. I have HBO and Showtime on Verizon Fios. I also have NetFlix/Hulu on my smart TV so any night can be a movie night. There is also a high school football field one block away with a full track, but if you don't want to run outside I have a treadmill in the basement. Across from the high school is a police and fire station. St. Johns hospital is 8 minutes away(in a car). Sacred Heart church is one block away. The Westchester medical center is only 20 minutes away in a car as well.
**** A new mall just opened 10 minutes away from my home which is called Ridge Hill.
Hope to see you soon at my humble abode.
