This is a welcoming, warm and eclectic space perfect for a solo traveler, a couple or a family with 1-2 small children. The home is in Chicago's lush, quiet and diverse North Park neighborhood. Street parking is pretty easy.
This is a cozy and welcoming space: the first time I saw it, it felt like a get-away or a retreat space. I hope others can enjoy it in the same way.
There is plenty of room: I have good-sized living and dining rooms and the kitchen is big. Another highlight of the house is the patio and backyard. Enjoy your morning coffee or an evening meal out back!
Please note that there is one full-sized bed in the bedroom. In addition, I have an air mattress for guests' use.
There are 2 units in this bungalow: the downstairs, which is the one available in this listing, and the upstairs, which I rent out through a long-term lease. The upstairs tenant is quiet. You will have access to the entire downstairs as well as the back yard / patio (the upstairs tenant does not have access to the back yard).
Once I accept your reservation, we can work out how you will get the key. If I am not in town, I can leave the key in a secure location, or arrange for a family member or a friend to help you get access, or just pick it up at a nearby cafe.
Interazione con gli ospiti
If I am out of town during your stay, I should be available by cell if any issues come up at all. I have family that live close by and they should be available.
Altre cose da evidenziare
I will provide towels and linens.
You can definitely use the kitchen and will have access to cooking utensils and basic cooking supplies.
I have wireless Internet and can provide the passcode for you.
Also, I don't have central air conditioning, but can put in window A/C units if you request them. Chicago's summers can get quite hot and humid, but you will also be on the first floor of the home. I used box fans in the windows and cross ventilation.

There is no smoking inside the home. No exceptions.
The home is in a residential neighborhood. Yes, I turn up my speakers, play guitar with the windows open, and have parties, but please do not disturb our neighbors.
If you use the outdoor fireplace, you need to put out the fire completely. I have a watering can out back for this purpose.
I expect you to treat the home as if it's your own.
