Very nice accomodations- comfortable bed, clean and nicely decorated surroundings, attractive plants inside and outside. Location very convenient to downtown Ithaca. Comfortable for the two of us. Would definitely return.

We enjoyed our stay here! It's a comfortable space, well equipped for any needs we had, and there's a lovely view! Deb and Albert are excellent hosts. Quiet residential neighborhood, complete privacy in the nicely decorated lower level apartment. I recommend Deb and Albert without hesitation! Would love to stay there again!

The grounds are beautiful. The space is comfortable, homey and lovely. Every detail has been thought of and attended to. Location is quiet and five minutes from everything in Ithaca (assuming you have a car). The hosts are friendly, so very helpful, you couldn't ask for better!

Located in a very quiet residential neighborhood between NYS 79 and NYS 96 in the northwest section of Ithaca, this apartment is very convenient to Cass Park, downtown, campuses, and the West shore of Cayuga Lake, especially Taughannock Falls State Park. This is a walk-out basement apartment in a private house, with a separate entry from the main part of the owner's house upstairs. The main living area has a queen-sized bed and a futon that can be used as either a sofa or a fold-away bed, as well as an easy chair. The latter was perfect for our 5-year-old. There is a small, but fully functional kitchen and a small dining area with seating for 3, as well as fully equipped private bath that was clean and functioned well. In general, the furnishings are not the newest of the new, but everything is comfortable, well-maintained, and very clean. Amenities include WiFi (recommend using the 5-Gz option, as the standard WiFi was slow and difficult to log into using our phones), and there is also a flat-screen TV, although we did not use it, so we don't know what comes with it. The kitchen was stocked with basic B&B items like fruit, cereal, milk and OJ, coffee and tea, and other condiments. There was also an abundance of spare towels and linens. There is a patio that is located underneath a deck which is on the main level of the house. The deck offers good shade from the sun, but it would not be very helpful in the rain because water would drip through the floorboards. The apartment doesn't have air-conditioning, but it is not really needed. We arrived on a 91-degree day, which is about as hot as it usually gets in that part of Ithaca, and by the time we went to bed the apartment was very comfortable using the ceiling fan and open windows (very quiet neighborhood so no problem with noise). A dehumidifier is available, but we didn't feel a need to use it. If you are looking for a self-contained retreat where you can isolate yourself from the world for a few days, this may not be quite the place for you. However, it was perfect for our needs, namely a clean, comfortable and convenient place to come back to at the end of a long day of being out and about in the Ithaca area. In that context, it offers good value and quite a bit more peace and quiet than one of the generic chain hotels along NYS 13 or downtown.

It was clean, quiet and thoughtfully appointed with everything a guest would need. I especially enjoyed the thick, fluffy towels. I had a great stay, and would definitely stay again.

Albert and I are pleased that you are considering a stay in our lovely apartment. We are both healthcare professionals; he is an RN, and I am a medical social worker in oncology and Palliative Care. Both of us enjoy music, traveling, gardening, socializing with friends, and sports. (We are lifelong Yankee fans, but do enjoy a friendly "discussion" with Red Sox fans now and then!) We have lived in the Ithaca area for decades, and would love to offer information and suggestions for the best that Ithaca and the Finger Lakes region can offer you during your stay. There is always something fun and interesting happening in Ithaca, every season of the year!
