First, there were 3 of us who stayed and all have provided our reviews: Mine!: Our Stay at Ardeneen was awesome. The hut was cozy yet roomy for 3 people. We arrived at night put the lantern and puc light ( oh and battery-powered candles) helped us settle in before we went to the Walmart (30 minutes out) to get more flashlights and clean supplies. Everything was provided like cooking utensils and bedding however the cleanliness of both are about a 5/6 rating. We were missing some items like TP, and paper towel. It seems like the guests before the stay are responsible for cleanliness. After cleaning, it felt like home though! Was very peaceful and the huts are a comfortable distance apart. The bathhouse was much more than expected though the hot water was our only option to bathe in, it was private and spacious. The Glamping experience was awesome and there are so many things to do! It's still camping so something is better than nothing. We left some Obay, fresh seasonings, paper plates, cups, and a very clean hut for the next guests in our vacay home lol. We plan to visit again. Thanks Dan! Sam: The weekend at Ardennen was awesome! Very quaint cabin and the surrounding area, though spaced out, embodied a neighborly vibe. My only complaint was the cleanliness of the utensils. There was food caked on from previous campers. Also a few supplies like toilet paper and salt were missing. Otherwise the cabin was everything we needed for the camping experience and felt like home once we settled in. The bathhouses were clean and very straightforward, definitely more than what I expected. I loved the showers however, there was a shortage of cold water. Nothing drastic though. Overall the glamping experience felt like a nice retreat in nature which was exactly what I was looking for. Thanks Dan! Quay: Our weekend stay at Ardennen was a tranquil experience, albeit after, a very thorough sweeping and washing of utensils(that still had food caked on them). Great escape from the city. Will definitely book again.

Glad you all had a great time and thanks for leaving the place cleaner than you found it! It is our expectation that every guest arrives to a clean hut and leaves it that way for the next guests. Our rental management company should be checking on the cleanliness during preparation and ensuring that all essential items are there for you....I'll have a talk with them about your experience. Unclean dishes is not acceptable and we certainly apologize for that. Thanks again for letting us know.

Fantastic weekend at Ardennen. Lovely setting; perfect little cabin. Comments about road noise from a few other guests are baffling. We heard a handful of cars go by over the course of 2.5 days. It's extremely peaceful and quiet and the road wasn't at all an issue for us. Cabin is just the right size and has a great vibe. Love the little overhead light you move from clip to clip. So smart, so simple. Picnic table, fire ring, camp chairs, covered porch - the outside space is as nice and as thoughtfully provisioned as the inside. And the bathroom facilities are first-class. One note for guests: ask for the substantial list of what's provided. We found the list on-site, after we arrived and long after it was too late to bring a few key things and filled our car with many more we didn't need. Not a big deal and the Family Dollar in Oakland was our savior, but who wants to shop when you came to get away from all that? We loved this little campground and can't wait to return. No electricity, no internet, crappy cell reception. PERFECT. D

Overpriced hut in the woods. The place itself is okay. One can see and read that the owners love their place and tries to pass it on. Especially the common area is very pleasant and inviting. The camping hut itself is underwhelming. I like some of the attention to detail. The "kitchen" is a collection of cutlery and a two plate gas stove. The huts are close to the road and to me it was disturbing to have the regular noise of the road intruding into the camping experience. The walks are pleasant though short.

Sorry to hear that your expectations weren’t met during your stay, especially with the trails. It sounds like you might have missed the majority of the more than 6 miles of groomed paths on the property. We always strive to give everyone a wonderful Glamping experience. However, we do focus on the “camping” side of Glamping and have tried to convey that in all of the pictures and descriptions on Airbnb. We do hope you return to the area and would highly recommend one of our competitors who are more focused on the “glamour” side of Glamping. Blue Moon Rising has luxurious tiny houses with full gourmet kitchens and Yurt Glamping at Savage River Lodge has heated floors and full kitchens. Both are listed on Airbnb and are great local businesses here in beautiful Garrett County.

The glamping hut was great! Very clean and had all the utensils we needed. Close drive to swallow falls which was beautiful and deep creek lake. We really enjoyed our stay and I had a great birthday there.

My husband and I enjoyed our stay at the glamping huts! The cabins were spacious and cute inside. The bathhouse had a lot of character to it and was clean and accommodating to our needs. We also really enjoyed all of the trails on the grounds. Our dog loved running through the woods and exploring! There was a lot of poison ivy in the woods but it was this way everywhere you went including the state parks. There were other people staying at the site but noise was never an issue. We will be returning again! Thanks Dan!

We're glad that you enjoyed your stay! We also thought that was poison ivy when we first moved to Garrett County, but some locals set us straight - it's a harmless look-alike plant. The elevation is too high here to have much poison ivy. In fact, in all the years running around the property, I've never gotten, nor seen poison ivy. So no need to bring the calamine lotion on your next visit :-)

The camp site was lovely. The woods were peaceful and well taken care of with plenty of space between each cabin to feel private and secluded. We found much inspiration here! Thanks Dan!

We had an amazing time glamping this past weekend. I had told Dan we were going to celebrate a friend's birthday so when we arrived there were graham crackers, marshmallows and a package of Dutch chocolates to get the celebration started! The environment was fantastic and we had wonderful weather to make the trip perfect. The walk to the pavilion took no more than two minutes and only about 30 seconds between each hut but we still felt there was plenty of privacy. The huts themselves were perfect; simple, extremely clean and considering the size were still very roomy. We have full intentions of coming back to glamp again! Thanks Dan!

Born as an Northern Appalachian hillbilly, in my youth I took great pleasure in pushing every boundary that I came up against - much to the chagrin of my mother. After university, that propensity for boundary pushing took on a more mature and controlled character, which manifests itself to this day in an insatiable curiosity for life. This drives me into an optimistic, yet perpetual state of restlessness - much to the chagrin of my wife.

We are currently living in The Netherlands and as one would imagine, we love to travel - not only for the sites, but for the people and food and wine and experiences.

Each of our Glamping huts is inspired by a particularly memorable experience while out and about in the world. We hope you enjoy your stay with us!
