The Mini-Duplex Balat4 is in a recently refurbished historical house. It has one double bed (Futon-style), a bathroom and a small kitchenette for preparing basic meals, tea & coffee.
It's on two levels. The bedroom is on the lower level; the small living area (12 square metre) with the kitchenette and the bathroom are on the 2nd level. Both levels are connected via a ladder.
There is a direct access to the communal top floor terrace that offers wonderful views of Istanbul, the neighbourhood and the Golden Horn.
The miniDuplex is a budget option for a single traveller or a couple.
It's perfect for travellers who look for a nice, small place to sleep. When the weather is nice, you can use the large communal terrace, and you will have a lot of additional space for relaxing, eating and sun-bathing.
The apartment is in a historical house in the neighbourhood of 'Balat'. Balat used to be the home of the Greek-Orthodox and the Jewish communities of Istanbul. Many Greek churches and synagogues in the area tell the stories of the former neighbours. Nowadays, Balat is a very charming, traditional and authentic neighbourhood, where the visitors can still taste the 'Old Istanbul'. It's a safe area.
There is grocery shops, small restaurants, bakeries, cafés and a supermarket very close to the apartment.
It takes only a two minutes walk to the charming Golden Horn (Halic) and it's long waterside park.
The 'Eminönü' district is nearby. And the historic 'Sultanahmet' area and the buzzling 'Taksim' are both only a short bus ride away.
Mustafa, our angel for everything also lives in the building. He speaks Turkish only, but he is always happy to help and assist you. He will provide you with information about the apartment and also looks after everything.
English, Italyan and Turkish are spoken
