This Airbnb will work for you if you've always wanted to live on a farm, want to rent a scooter or use a taxi as your means of daily transportation rather than walking, don't mind waking up at 5am while you're in Bali, and are on a serious budget. First, the property smells like garbage or feces (or both) as you walk between the road and the units. I don't know if that's a permanent thing because of all the animals, but it made me nauseous during my stay. Then, as you walk into the property, wild feral dogs start showing up that bark, growl, and bare their teeth at you as you try to walk to your unit. Thankfully none of them attempted to attack, but it's terrifying to arrive back at the complex after sundown and have dogs seem to appear out of nowhere to all bark ferociously at you at once. Then, you arrive at the unit. Apparently an animal wanted to mark the patio furniture as theirs, because there's urine on the chair leg and patio tile floor as you approach. Speaking of excrement, inside the unit there will be piles of poop that show up out of nowhere -- seeming about the size from a bird or a large lizard. There will be one set at the foot of your bed -- explaining why they use a mosquito net with a top panel to guard you from being pooped on during the night -- and another pile of poop that will show up on the floor of your shower. Insect-wise, the inside of the unit was fairly comparable to most budget accommodations in Bali - some minor ants and spiders, but nothing unexpected. The sounds of wildlife around you are much louder than expected: the roosters, cicadas, dogs, pigs, cows and birds start their daily noises at 4:30am, and really ramp up by about 6am, so sleeping in may not be an option for most guests. (This is probably because the screened windows at the top of the unit are sealed by plastic wrap instead of a typical glass windowpane.) For at least one morning, I saw that three cows were tied to a tree about 20 feet away from my unit. I found that I still was woken up at 4:30am by the noise despite wearing earplugs. Breakfast service doesn't start until 8am-ish, so you may want to stock up on snacks to get you through morning hanger of being roused after insufficient sleep. The breakfast food is not good. Orders would consistently show up as being undercooked/overcooked and not matching the description on the menu. The price seems appealing, but the two different food options I tried off the menu definitely were not. There are also a lot of religious ceremonies and gatherings nearby that you can hear drumming and chanting from quite audibly from your unit. Same goes for noises people in the other units are making: if they're watching a movie...

Coco Alami, met all of superseded my expectations. The villa was quaint in which the family lives in the front. The bungalow is down an alley way. Any question that I needed answered was provided. Breakfast was great and for the price you cannot go wrong. The room was perfect as a solo traveler (couples) and I felt safe. The shower was perfect, hot water, internet was beyond perfect, A/C. I didn't use A/C because at night it was chill and there was a ceiling fan plus a side fan that worked well. The villa is away from the central location maybe 15-25minutes by car depending on traffic. There is a really good vegan/vegetarian local place nearby that I ate at twice and is walkable. You can take out or eat there. Also there is a side mart if you need any snack etc 4 minutes from the villa. You will wake up to morning Ashram (chanting, morning prayer). That was the best part of the trip around 5:30/6:00am. Ayu, was an amazing addition to the villa. Everyone was super nice, super sweet and attentive to my needs. As a first time visitor and solo traveler to Bali (Ubud) it was overall great. Exceeded expectations.

Coco Alami is very cozy. The room was as pictured and described. The host and staff was so kind and helpful. They offered pick up from the airport (for a small fee). There's also a breakfast menu with a nice variety. Everything we had was enjoyable, especially the mango juice :) and brought to you to dine right at your bungalow. There's air con, fans, hot water, and great wifi. Ubud center is a good 20+ min walk, but very easy via motorbike. Taxis are also easily accessible on every corner for cheap as well. I was able to uber back from the center with no problem Rp20-30. I had a personal Mix up and Pradana was very understanding and accommodating. Overall, my husband and I enjoyed our 3 night stay at Coco Alami. Would definitely recommend

My almost 5 week stay at Coco Alami was a serene and relaxing experience; basically everything I expected it to be. I was actually on a working holiday, so I needed a pace where I could work but also just be, and this was it. First let me say that Ayu is absolutely wonderful. She and her family made me feel very welcome and there isn't anything she won't do to make sure your needs are met. My flight landed at 12:05 AM and Ayu had no problems allowing me to check in so early in the morning. Her brother-in-law Wayan was happily waiting for me at the airport and on the ride to Coco, he told me about all that awaited me in Ubud. Wayan is also more than willing to take you on a personal tour (depending on what you want to do, you can discuss schedule/fees with him) and if you need a ride anywhere, he will make himself available for you. He's awesome. Ayu will also help you plan day trips and activities. If you tell her what you want to do, she will arrange everything for you. If you want to do hiking, cycling, rafting etc. She can schedule the trip and the price will be significantly cheaper than if you tried to schedule the trip yourself. She also makes a delicious breakfast, so be sure to ask for the breakfast menu. You can order breakfast everyday and not only is it good, I promise you can't beat the price. Seriously. Excellent way to start your day, especially if you're not big on cooking for yourself. The bungalow itself is just as pictured, maybe even nicer than the pictures. This particular bungalow is right by the pool and it is great for a dip or two throughout the day. The scenery is absolutely beautiful. I would sit on the veranda every morning just taking it all in. The bungalows are cleaned daily, bedding, towels etc. changed weekly unless you request otherwise. The kitchen is perfect for making small/quick meals as there is only one burner. The fridge/freezer is actually larger than I anticipated and I definitely utilized all the space after weekly grocery shopping trips. Also, as I mentioned, this was a working holiday for me so WiFi was essential and probably my greatest concern before I arrived. The WiFi is excellent. Didn't have any issues with getting online using various devices. Extremely happy with the WiFi :) In regards to location, Coco Alami is about 5-7 mins drive outside of what I called "downtown Ubud" where you'll find a plethora of restaurants, shops, Yoga Barn, the Monkey Forest etc. That said, if you don't drive or know how to drive a scooter/motor bike, it's about a 15-20 min walk. I happen to like walking, so I made the trek often. You could also easily get a taxi right outside Coco Alami. As soon as you start walking in any direction, people will ask if...

Очень удобное расположение, чистый и комфортный домик. Ayu была очень внимательна и отзывчива, помогла арендовать байк и комфортное такси до аэропорта, проводила замечательные уроки по готовки местной кухни.
