Bellows Falls located in SE VT along the CT River is part of the industrial history that stretched up and down the CT River. It was particularly known for its paper making.

The owner encourages cooking and is willing to initiate. Coffee, tea is available, use of the kitchen and meals can be prepared for you if you like. I want you to enjoy my home, the community and surrounding area!

The wonderful thing about Bellows Falls is that you can arrive by train, the Vermonter (Washington DC to St Albans VT) or by bus from NYC or Boston and enjoy the community w/o a car for several days.

Robert is terrific. Any guest would be more than lucky to stay with the best Host in all of Vermont---& maybe best in all of AirB&B. His place is so charming & cheerful, and he has the best personality. He was really kind and polite. I can't wait to return next year!

A wonderful stay at Robert's home. I came in very late in the night (2:30am!) and he was there to welcome me. Also up in the morning and we shared a nice conversation over breakfast. This is a warm and cosy home for someone who doesn't mind having the bathroom downstairs near the kitchen. I highly recommend Robert and his home. I will be back!

I wanted to see the foliage of VT and NH just for a weekend, and Bellows Falls seemed quaint and convenient, so I stayed at Robert's place. It was perfect -- on a quiet street facing the canal, right off the downtown area, neither completely isolated nor overly busy. Robert stayed in contact and I ended up joining him and his friend for wine, conversation, and delicious homemade cookin' when I arrived at night. The house is over 100 years old, with delightful wood floors, a walk-in pantry, and artsy decorations. I'm a writer so the little quirky things inspire me. If you want small-town charm, history, art, and cheer, this is a great place! If you want something newly built or way out in the countryside, this may not be it. The room at the top of the stairs was quaint and comfortable. Probably a good place for 1-2 people. I headed out in the morning and walked to the main street (just a couple of blocks) to take some photos, then drove about 45 minutes to Windsor and the NH border.

After a long day we arrived in Bellows Falls in the evening and were received with an unexpected and warm welcome. Rob was in the kitchen, cooking and invited us right away to have dinner with him! We are impressed by his unconditional hospitality and his warm and interested personality! The room was as described and the house really cute. A really nice stay. Thank you!

Robert is as friendly, warm and accommodating as a host could be, and a very light-hearted and fun person. We felt totally at home there during our stay and especially enjoyed the use of his kitchen for cooking and dining in. The canal view from the front room (as well as front porch) is very nice. We appreciated the communication leading up to our stay as well.
