Have you ever wanted to see and stay in an actual Tiny House? This is your chance! Custom Tiny House with private landscaped yard and Asian influenced interior design. Tiny House living is a unique experience - declutter, reduce, re-use and live simply. I custom designed the space to be efficient, modern and comfortable.

It is located in the back portion of our double lot property behind the house we live in.

INTERIOR:
There are two lofts - a queen size and a twin size loft for 3 people to sleep comfortably.

The heated floors keep the place at the perfect temp day or night. Lots of natural light fills the space from the 5 clerestory windows.

The kitchen is fully equipped with a 2 burner stove, mini fridge and freezer and everything you need to cook and eat in.

The bathroom has a shower and state of the art composting toilet that separates liquids from solids and vents out all odor.

Access to the lofts is by way of steep ladders. If you aren't comfortable with ladders or lofts with low ceiling height - this isn't the place for you.

EXTERIOR:
A hand laid recycled brick path leads up to the front porch and front door. You'll enjoy the fully landscaped private yard with a fire pit for those wonderful summer nights in Seattle.

PARKING:
There is lots of free on-street parking in front of the house.

Access is easy: There is a key box which allows you to check-in and check-out at your convenience.

We love meeting new people and sharing stories of travel and adventure, so if you see us feel free to say Hi. Otherwise, we'll leave you to your business and hope you are enjoying the Tiny House.

Our neighborhood is great! We are located in "the most diverse zip code in the USA, 98118" according to news reports. We love all the different nationalities/ethnicities and diversity that make up our vibrant city and neighborhood.

We have excellent restaurants within walking distance or a very short car ride - from Vietnamese to Mexican, Chinese to Ethiopian, Italian to Soul Food and local micro-brew pubs.

There are also several parks very close and Lake Washington/Seward Park is only a 2 minute drive.

We are a 5 minute walk to a Light Rail station and 2 minute walk to public buses.

15-20 minutes by car or Light Rail to downtown Seattle or SeaTac Airport.

Due to the nature of loft sleeping, steep stairs and low ceilings in the lofts we ask our guest to sign a waiver prior to or upon arrival.

Regole della casa

We ask that you treat the Tiny House with the same care and consideration as you would your own home.

We will provide dish soap, body soap and shampoo that is all natural and biodegradable which is required for the septic system. If you prefer to use your own, please make sure that it is biodegradable.

Composting toilet – very eco friendly and not scary or smelly: Use just like most toilets except… No water is used.

Welp, I have officially stayed in a Tiny Home! It was adorable. Clean. Perfect size for two people and had two beds (didn't realize that based on the listing). It's a 5-7 minute walk to the light rail which will take you to the airport on a 20-minute southbound ride and as far as the University of Washington on a 35-minute northern ride. The toilet is different and interesting so that's something to be aware of. Beds are comfortable. Love that the windows open near the bed area to smell the lovely PNW air and hear the birds, or rain, or feel the breeze. Akiko was very friendly and helpful. Would definitely consider staying again!

Our first stay in a tiny house, and it was fantastic! It was sooo much better than staying in a hotel! The mattresses and bed linens were so very comfortable, and we had great sleep! Easy to access, nice to be in neighborhood, and had everything we needed for a comfy stay.

This tiny house is a beautiful place to stay. The feeling is harmonious and peaceful, even in the midst of the city. We will be staying here again.

Wife loves to watch TV shows about tiny houses and thought it would be fun to stay in one. Found this for our weekend trip to Seattle and it fit the bill perfectly. Quiet neighborhood, well built tiny home, and a fun experience to do something a little different than the typical Hotel or AirBnB.

It was cool that we got to experience what it would be like to live in a tiny house. The house has everything you would need for a short vacation. If you're taller than 5'4'', just be careful when you get situated in the bed as it is very close to the ceiling. Also, the odor of the restroom is definitely not odorless, but it isn't too bad. We just opened windows and turned on the fan.

Risposta di Akiko:
The composting toilet odor is not an issue if you keep the lid closed as instructed in the manual.

I was born in Japan, but was raised around the world (Jordan, Canada, Tennessee) and settled in Seattle after attending the University of Washington and falling in love with the city.

I love hosting friends and family at the house. It naturally tends to be a gathering place for them.

When I am not hosting friends for dinner parties, I love to travel, enjoy the outdoors - Snowboarding, camping, hiking and kayaking and trying new restaurants.
