Very nice house in the Tuscan countryside, well situated for day trips to the surrounding villages and Florence and Sienna. The house is very large and clean. The hosts were friendly. I strongly recommend Andrea's place and hope i get a chance to come back some time.
All bedrooms (4 with double beds + 1 with single bed) are large. There is a huge living room, a dining room as well as a large kitchen where we could all sit for meals. An additional bed placed in a hallway means 10 people could sleep in the house on beds; we were 7.
The house is at the top of a hill with a 360 degree view onto the beautiful Tuscan hills with San Gimignano in direct sight from several rooms.
All mattresses, sheets and towels were new and clean. The house (inside and out) were clean. The photos are accurate.
Andrea was very reactive to answer questions in preparation of our stay. Our hosts were accommodating and and friendly at check in and check out, providing additional information and suggestions.
There's no WIFI but there is cellphone service so you're not completely isolated from the world. And WIFI was easy to find in most cafes and restaurants in the area.
The evening hunts for roaches was less fun (5-10 per night). We did not mention it during our stay because there was likely nothing to do about it while we were there. I'm sure Andrea can get it sorted out. I will check with him in advance next time i come.
Finally, the bed in the single bedroom is of a rather old design with very soft "box springs" which should be reserved for people who are very light (children) or who like very soft beds.
These last 2 points did not significantly hinder our stay. We had a great time in Tuscany and the house was an important part in our appreciating the region. I strongly recommend it and thank Andrea for having us.
