At Goat Meadows Farm, we have an independent apartment at the walkout level of our barnhome. It's one long, cozy space including a double bed, sitting/dining space, kitchen, bath with shower and your own entrance, in full view of the pasture.
The studio apartment is very private with its own entrance. Cool in the summer, and the door opens out to the meadow. Radiant heat floors in cooler months. All basic needs are there. We will supply basic breakfast food for you to make on your own.
Guests will have access to our two Nubian goats and two dear mini-donkeys, as well as our perennial gardens and frog pond. Kids' playgym is there too. Down below is a seasonal garden filled with exotic perennials, managed by a friend.

As simple as introductions and the key. Always available to ask questions about the area. We are upstairs, often outside during the warmer months. Inside and quiet in the cold months.

My husband and I are retired public school teachers, who have raised 9 children and a lot of goats! Seven stepchildren are sprinkled across the country, but our two are nearby. Our daughter and son-in-law have given us two wonderful grandkids, and our adult son is a fine musician who lovingly raise 2 cats and a dog with his wife.
We have restored and built houses locally, and cabins in the Northeast Kingdom of Vermont. John is a self-taught carpenter/plumber/electrician and he has made many of my dreams come true! I come up with the building/decorating ideas and he makes them happen. I also love to garden, both perennials and veggies. We are vegetarians, so that means our freezer is full of our harvest.
We started B&B'ing as an overflow location for a friend's B&B down the road. We have met such great people, and so enjoy our breakfast parties together. It's a joy to share our beautiful space with others, and to learn from each guest.
We love our darling hilltown and are active community members here. We have the ability to be in the country all seasons, yet are close to many fine cultural activities brought to the Five Colleges. If we can travel, we head up to VT and Canada. There we kayak in the summer and snowshoe in the winter.
