We've been called the "Ritz of Hostels" and we are proud to have earned that title.
Deck with a View
GAP Trail Access
Hostels are rising in popularity, and for good reason! You'll get to meet with new people who love many of the same things you do and compare travel stories. One of the biggest draws of a Hostel is saving money on sleeping arrangements so you can put more into your real adventure.
We love to accommodate all this! We have people from all over the United States and a surprising number of guests from around the world. Our favorite part is the knowing where you are from so PLEASE pin our map and help us improve our story.
You'll be very close to Rockwood Mill Shoppes; find anything additional you need there.
While visiting the area you'll be only in the Laurel Highlands and only a few minutes from landmarks like,
Flight 93 Memorial,
Quecreek Mine Rescue Site,
Johnstown Flood Museum,
and all the historic farms and nature walks

We LOVE to interact but only when YOU want. Because we spend most of our time at Rockwood Mill Shoppes, we'll see you at check in and check out but beyond that, you're mostly on your own.
If you want, we'd love to hear your stories while you have a cuppa' joe at the Mill Shoppes!
Because we are located so close to the GAP, part of the Rails to Trails Program, we are in hearing distance of an active railroad track. Please know it can get a bit loud at times!
Sorry, No Pets!
Courtesy! (we think that sums it up!

Pleasure to meet you! I'm Judy and I own the Hostel on Main. I'm thrilled to meet people from all over the world. I never imagined I would have such an exciting group of guests when I opened the hostel, 6 years ago, but I can 't imagine ever going back.
I love restoring old buildings to something current and beautiful, as you can see from my other properties. While you are here, check Rockwood Mill Shoppes, where you can shop for local and American made products. I also own and restored the Rockwood Opera House which was originally built in 1902 but I restored 15 years ago to be an entertainment venue. You can visit a show while staying in my Hostel! I also love old "stuff" so my husband and I opened an Antique Shoppe which you'll stay right beside!
