This original Byron Bay cottage has been creatively restored with a classic retro style. An extensive use of stained glass windows combined with polished timber floors has captured the true charm of the era. There are 3 bedrooms plus a convertible fourth bedroom that is utilised as a sun room with daybed unless required. There are king beds in 2 rooms, a double plus a single in the 3rd room and a double in the sun room/4th. The kitchen boasts an original old fireplace that has been utilised as a central feature and functional cooktop. Huge French doors and a bi fold servery open to the extensive rear deck which overlooks the massive private yard and lawns shaded by our very own rainforest.

Walk everywhere from here. The beach track is only about 100 metres and winds through coastal rainforest to a secluded and less popular stretch of our beautiful north facing beach. A leisurely stroll along the ocean beach brings you to town in the most enjoyable fashion. Walk all the way to the Cape. It does not get much better.
A six minute walk along the well lit footpath will deliver you to the heart of town and the vibrant cafes, hotels, shopping and and galleries.
This is an ideal location to fully enjoy everything Byron Bay has to offer.

If you are going to come to Byron Bay - enjoy as it was meant to be. You will love it here. Byron Bay is alive all year round. Art, music, creativity and well being surrounds you all year round. Byron Bliss Surf Cottage is a little piece of original Byron Bay for you to enjoy and it will stay that way.

We expect sensibility and respect at all times. This is a residential area. No noise on outside decks after 10 pm. We expect the property to be left tidy and check in and outs to be as agreed.


1.The premises are let to you for holiday purposes during the period stated on your itinerary . Consideration for our neighbours is of major importance as this is a residential area.

2.The number of occupants must not exceed the number of persons shown on your itinerary. Parties or gatherings over 8 persons are not permitted.

3.A security company manages terms and conditions re the property and their phone number is displayed. A call out for security incurs a $150 fee. Security is in place for the benefit of the tenant, the lessor and the neighbours. Security call outs may result in termination of letting.

3.The holiday house will be available from 2pm on the day of arrival and must be vacated by 10 am on the day of departure unless otherwise arranged. A late penalty fee may be charged.

4.The premises are to be kept clean and tidy at all times and left in a clean and tidy condition including BBQ. Failure to do so will incur an extra cleaning charge.

5.A $1000 security bond is in place.

6.Keys can be collected via meet and greet where possible or from a coded safebox at entry to property. Lost keys incur a $40 charge as does a call out for misplaced keys.

7.No pets are permitted on the property without prior arrangement.

8.The tenant will pay for any damage to property or furnishings.

9.No tenant or guest shall partake in behaviour that is a nuisance to adjoining neighbours at any time. No noise must be heard from outdoor areas after 10pm each evening.

10.Security bonds will not be transacted providing no damage, security call outs , extensive cleaning or excess garbage removal is required.

Any breach of the above holiday letting terms can result in the owner terminating the letting.

We had a really lovely stay! The house was very well set up and had everything we needed! Also very well located with being able to easily walk to the beach and into town.

Great place in Byron Bay. Just a few streets from the beach and from downtown. The backyard and porch is like being in a jungle! We loved the outdoor shower, too. One room doesn't have AirCon which can get hot (there is a fan), but the other AC units worked great in the other rooms.

Very fast response and got to the house within about an hour of booking. Very hassle free organisation. House was perfect. Excellent location within easy walking distance of town and the beach. Excellent back deck area.

The outside area - deck and garden were great and as in the pictures. We loved being able to have our four legged member of the family with us. The location is great - easy walk to centre of Byron, Belongil Beach 3 mins away. As noted in other reviews Shirley Road is busy and so the front of the house is a little noisy. Very comfortable beds, lovely linen and good showers. There were only four of us so plenty of space. The kitchen was the only slight disappointment - it was adequate for catering for 4 but I wouldn't have liked to have provided meals for larger numbers (which the house could easily accommodate), cutlery and plates would be tight and the oven was dodgy!

Thanks Emma. Sets of 8 is standard at property. Plenty of serving goods. We will double check quantities and amend. There is a high turnover due to breakages and we do keep spares in storage. This should not be a problem.

I am a healthy active person that enjoys life every single day. I am lucky enough to spread myself between Burleigh Heads and Byron Bay for home, business and pleasure. Two absolute paradises with nothing but between! . I like to travel sometimes but am also very happy at home. I love to take photos and write about my experiences - at home and away. I enjoy the outdoor life with surfing, paddling and water sports as most favoured in the paradise that surrounds me. I am a very social person who enjoys the interaction of sharing a meal and a tipple to bring out the best in all of us. As a guest or a host I am polite and respectful and will always do my best to make my presence enjoyable. I know how to enjoy myself in the beautiful area we call home and am always happy to offer a little local knowledge to assist in making sure any guests have a wonderful time.
