Retreat in Mahalo's beautiful, private sound healing temple.
Use outdoor fire circles if you know how. In winter, you need to know how to manage a wood stove.
Love the comfy futon, off-the-grid energy & composting toilet. There's no running water & no eating in temple.
For bathing, use caretaker's bath in main house or Colonial Spa: pool, hot tub, saunas, shower, 3 mi. away, $20/day.
BYO bedding (pillows, sheets, blankets).
Use caretaker's kitchen: $10/day.
Great eateries are 1-2 miles away!
Mahalo Art Center's Deluxe Retreat space in the Mahalo Rose Encantadora sound healing temple is located by the woods and an intermittent stream. It is part of Mahalo Art Center, a sanctuary for artists, cultural creatives and people caring for the evolving soul. Our long driveway is off of a main road and 2 miles from downtown Brattleboro, so it is easy to get here, yet privately located amidst the other Mahalo Art Center dwelling places and art studios.
Mahalo Art Center's 22 foot wide octagonal sound healing temple with a cathedral ceiling is yours for the duration of your stay! It is not a yurt, as some people tend to call it. This is a full building with great insulation and heat when the stove is operating. This option can sleep 1-4 people. It is ideal for a personal retreat, for simple get-aways and for a healthy, off-the-grid place to sleep well. Please note, no food is allowed in the temple.

This choice has two options:
1) An exceptional space for your own private retreat alone or with friends.
2) A retreat led by Mahalo Art Center founder, Luz Elena Morey, a transpersonal, nature-connected drama and expressive arts therapist. These guided retreats can focus on one or several of the following: gaining clarity about one's life, accessing and strengthening one's gifts, releasing/transforming PTSD-related symptoms and obstacles, getting in touch with one's vision or dreams, and making one's most beautiful dreams into reality.
Please contact host for more information about this option.

Quiet time is 10 pm to 8 am. Music may be made in the sound healing temple at all hours. No smoking indoors.
I am an artist, teacher and transpersonal psychotherapist. Passionate about creativity and the exploration of what it is to be a whole human being, I offer gratitude as much as possible. I work with people of all ages, helping build awareness, confidence, creativity and healthy community via engagement in the expressive arts and nature-connected living. I love conversation, yet will leave you to your sacred retreat here, unless there is reason to converse. Some people come to Mahalo Art Center for personal healing and guided retreats with me. Others come for bed and breakfast rest, pleasure and the wonder of exploring this great area!
