Indeed this was frustrating for both parties especially since such jovial and cheery communication prior to arrival were so pleasant that it seemed to pave the way to a most memorable and comfortable stay. Most unfortunate with the pest issue after the first week especially since the unit is fumigated monthly and specifically scheduled a day or two prior to guest arrivals. It seems that the building changed service providers who used weaker chemicals, thus the issue reoccurred making the guest wanting to depart earlier. There was no argument to this and offer for refund for inconveniences and complaints were granted with no question, leaving both parties satisfied with all resolutions. Thorough and deep cleaning have been completed, along with resolution with building service provider to ensure no reoccurrences. This has also never been an issue with past guests who had nothing but wonderful experiences while in-house as guests. Such a shame since all was set for a wonderful stay, but it clearly wasn't the case with this one. Lots learned from this experience, and I always believe that it is how one reacts and resolves issues, which truly defines the sincerity of a host. I am grateful for guests' realization of our sincere and honest intentions to resolve all issues, and truly provide hospitality and full attention. Regardless of the challenges, I am thankful for the guest's acknowledgement at how she was touched with our willingness to make her stay a better one. And certainly our personal disappointment for falling short of expectations. But definitely, an opportunity to learn from all the issues, and ensure perfect experiences for all future guests.
