Central, quiet, but in a decidedly vibrant neighborhood. The spotless apartment has one living room,a bedroom, and a small kitchen.

The situation of the apartment minimizes all travel times to and from most destinations in Paris. The neighborhood itself is a destination much frequented.

High-speed WiFi, microwave, oven, fridge, and a washing machine!

Wouldn't want to get in your way of enjoying this magnificent city, so pretty minimal!

The Marais contains what most fashionable magazines' articles write about, food, drink, fashion, and museums,

The République area, Canal St-Martin is close by (8mins), too, so is Oberkampf (8mins also).

Oberkampf is quite a destination now for drinks. From wine tasting to local brewers, I sort of call it the beverage-mile myself.

20 yards from the Oberkampf metro station, on Tuesdays and Fridays, there's a market to get fruits and veggies, cheese and meats, spices and fish, and ready to cook fresh pastas.

Whereas the Canal affords a nice afternoon pic-nicing with friends and getting some sun in general. And it's a wonderful stretch for joggers, especially on Sundays when the roads are closed to pedestrians.

Metro line 5 (Bastille, Gare du Nord), 8 (Chateau Vincenne), 9 (Opera, Gallerie Lafayette) , 3 (Pere Lachaise), 11 (Hotel de Ville, Pompidou)

Bus 20 to Gare de Lyon

I do live here when it's not on Airbnb (usually when I'm on a trip) so please take care of the place and my personal items, thank you for helping out!

Ora del check-in: 13:00 - 21:00.

Non-smoking, no blasting music. The building has a 10pm noise curfew so I have to ask you to follow it.

PLEASE keep it as clean as you first find it.

I do live here when I am in Paris, unlike so many other AirBnBer who basically semi-professionally dedicate their apartment to rental, I'm renting it out as I have to travel for work, so please do care for the apartment and my stuff.

I search what I call usable art: well designed furniture, flavorful yet simple and quick cooking, fashion that blends well in a broad number of settings, calligraphy, algorithms, intuitive user interface.

The purpose of traveling for me is to be blown away by solutions to local problems. Problems be it lack of arable land, steep mountains or too much red-tape or too long a winter. Solutions that are no less than a demonstration of the spark of humanity, that separate us from droids. All the better if it is bred by and in romance. Then try to find an isomorphism to transport the known solution from these cultures to my own situation to see if it provides key.

Also to eat a lot.

They say I should have a motto, how about that "Stay Hungry, Stay Curious" one?
