This is a private floor through, one bedroom apartment on the second floor. It is sunny and breezy. It is close to trains, parks, museums, both hip and traditional neighborhoods and coffee shops. Cook in or dine out. Ideal for a couple with a friend or child. The occupant lives here with his dog and works downstairs. Though clean, there are a lot of things and the place is not as spotless as some would like it -- for others, it is perfect. It is definitely a home and not a hotel.
The owner lives in the apartment and moves to the space below when the apartment is occupied by a guest. The first floor is an art studio and storefront gallery.
One queen size bed, one single bed and a couch. Private bathroom with standing shower. Full kitchen. Free wifi. Lots of cds, records and books. Art by local and international artists.

Charles is a native of San Francisco, CA but has been living in Brooklyn, NY for 20 years. He is an artist and makes his living through various means -- teaching, art handling, social work, building and being a landlord, etc. His apartment is above his studio, so when his apartment is rented out, he often relocates to the studio. The front of his storefront studio doubles as a gallery for national and international artists. Occasionally, there are opening receptions there.
Charles lives with Banks. Banks is an eight year old mutt. He looks like a small German Shepard with some beagle and collie mixed in. He is a sweet dog, though he does shed. And he is an excellent watch dog, which means he barks on occasion. Banks and Charles often travel together.
Because Banks sheds and because Charles is an artist, occasionally a fur clump, finger print or dusty surface will escapes our cleaning. The place is not as spotless as a hotel would be, please do not expect it to be. Otherwise, the apartment is adorned with work by local and international artists, as well as books, music and artifacts.
You will be hard pressed to find a cooler apartment in a hipper NYC neighborhood.
