You'll love the short one-minute walk to our white sandy beach on Long Pond, one of Southeastern Mass's pristine glacial lakes. This mid century two-bedroom summer cottage (sleeps up to 6) is tucked into a pine woodland and sits on a hill just above the lake.
The Palace offers accommodations for up to six people. There are two bedrooms, one with a queen bed, and one with one double and two twins. The galley kitchen has plenty of cooking utensils and dishes. The screened porch is set up for dining alfresco while enjoying a great view of Long Pond.
We offer discounts for stays of one week or more.
The beach which is semiprivate, has a dock a floating raft and tons of sand - perfect for building sandcastles. The gradual entrance into the water is great for young children.
Perfect for outdoor enthusiasts, a week at the Palace offers an old-fashioned style family vacation. Plus you can avoid wrangling with Cape Cod traffic by staying in Plymouth.
Please see our other listings for more photos and information on our other Cornish Point Cottages.
You can enjoy quiet morning strolls along woodland paths and refreshing daily swims while remaining surprisingly close to many popular Massachusetts destinations. Long Pond has clean, clear water with a sandy bottom and is great for small craft boating. You can use our canoe which is located on the beach.
There is a public boat ramp that accommodates small boats. Kayaks and sailboats are perfect. For over 60 years, the pond residents have raced antique sail boats on Saturday and Sunday afternoons in July and August. Fishermen love Long Pond which the state stocks with trout and salmon each Spring and Fall. Explore miles of sandy country roads and trails that run through conservation land, cranberry bogs and along the shores of three nearby ponds.
The cottage is next to Pinewoods Camp, a folk dance and music camp. You can hear the music wafting through the woods and on selected Sunday nights, can participate in the evening folk dance program.

Four generations of our family have vacationed on this property for over seventy years. We have worked hard to preserve its natural, rustic character and the unique old-fashioned nature of the structures.
Our family uses the cabins next door. We share the beach with you and may send a friendly wave your way. But in general we stay out of your way unless you need our help.
There are miles and miles of sandy trails running thorugh nature preserves and into the State Forest. It feels like a national park but you are just one hour from Boston.

The Cornish Point Cottages are owned and managed by the Conant family. Four generations of Conants have summered on this property. We love its historic, rustic nature and work hard to keep it that way. The family photo in our profile is of Gerda Conant and her 5 children. The "kids" now own and manage the property as Cornish Point Cottages. We all pitch in. Susan lives farther away so she does the reservations, Peggy manages the cleaning staff, Donald does the plumbing repair and David is our carpentry expert. It takes a lot of work to keep the place going but we love it.
