I call this my Diego Rivera/Frida Kahlo room because it has prints from both artists and the walls are a beguiling bitter orange color. Lots of light, an antique mahogany sleigh bed, and lovely linens will make your stay comfortable and serene. WIFI. NOTE: This is a double bed (not a King or Queen).

This handsome bedroom is on the second floor and looks out over ancient sugar maples that are spectacular in the autumn. While the room is cozy, the antique mahogany sleigh bed will welcome you with a great night sleep. WIFI. NOTE: This is a double bed -- not a King or Queen.

Guest share access to a full bathroom with me--your host. It is always spotless and has a great shower and bath. I do have a TV downstairs in my living room and if I'm not using it, just ask and I'll show you how to turn it on. There is also a lovely enclosed 3-season front porch excellent for reading, watching the sky, and listening to NPR. Finally, I have a great patio with chairs for reading under the lilacs and other trees.

If there's anything you need, just ask me. If I can help, I will. Some guests prefer to be solitary and keep to themselves. That's fine with me. If you want to chat and get to know one another, we can do so over a cup of tea. I provide tea or coffee and a very light Continental breakfast to my short-term guests. Please let me know if you have any allergies.

I live less than a mile from Brandeis University and Bentley University so my place is great for parents who are visiting their college student kids. I am a short walk to Waltham center and thus very close to plenty of good (and even fine) restaurants.

My home is about a half mile from the MBTA Commuter Rail which goes into Boston. I'm also a 15 minute ride to the MBTA Riverside Greenline Stop and about a 20 minute ride to the MBTA Redline Alewife Stop. Uber is also available.

If you plan to rent a car, there is an Enterprise Car Rental here in Waltham and I think they will even pick you up at my house and take you to their place when you want to pick up your car. I have off-street parking for one car. Also, there are stairs that lead up to my house, so unfortunately my home is not handicapped accessible. I have a fine Baldwin piano if you like to play.

I expect guests to be respectful of my house and of my private space. Generally, I'm quiet and in the evenings either read or watch tv or listen to music. I do not expect guests to be partying in their room--there are lots of good restaurants and pubs in Waltham where you can let off steam. While I do not allow cats, I am flexible on the issue of dogs. Let's talk about it.

Risposta di Sue:
Sam was a great guest: quiet, respectful, and, truth be told, I hardly saw or heard him during his visit. Perfect guest.

I spent a really nice time at Sue's house. She is a really good guest who helps you when you need but who also let you your own privacy. Her house is absolutely charming. I loved the room I stayed in, I felt like I was back in my childhood bedroom. The neighborhood is also great. I highly recommend to stay there.

I use airbnb for travel for 4 years and our experience here was definitely the best. More than just a room, sleep in this place is a wonderful travel experience. The house is very cute, in a nice neighborhood, surrounded by a magnificent garden, and with a private parking, everything is simple there. Sue welcome you with a big smile, and put you at ease very quickly. We had the chance to receive lots of lovely attention during our stay: good breakfasts with homemade jam, cheese, hot croissants and good coffee, we got good advice for Boston visits along with snacking, and finally the day before the marathon, we had the chance to have a good meal with wine. What happiness! Do not wait, you need to visit Sue for your next trip to Boston or just for a relaxing retreat. Despite all the stress and fatigue that I had for the marathon, Sue has done much to help me feel good. I will return there for sure on my next trip to Boston.

Sue is a wonderful and warm host. Her home is lovely and in a great location. The room is really nice. The bed is comfortable and the room is really lovely. Sue has a kind and friendly personality. She left us chocolates and that was a nice touch. Her home is located across the street from a Panera and a Chipotle. It is very close to Brandeis, which we were visiting. This was a great Airbnb stay for us. I recommend this host and home highly.

I'm a freelance writer who works from home, mostly. My house is a place where people instantly feel comfortable. I'm intelligent, occasionally funny, thinking about getting a puppy (for years), and often go to Connecticut to help care for my very elderly parents. I'm working on a memoir, love movies, jazz, am an adventurous foodie and good cook, and am not neurotic or weird. You shouldn't be either.

I read a lot, am thinking about revisiting Italy (which I love love love), and looking forward to my own week on Cape Cod in July. I will want to chat to get to know you, unless you say you'd prefer to be left alone. I also know a lot about Waltham's many excellent restaurants and can guide you to a great place at many price levels.
