We live at the very far end of the property and are on hand if you need any help or assistance. We are 'World Host' accredited.
Altre cose da evidenziare
Supermarkets are around 30 minutes away , so I recommend you stopping off for a shop on the way down. By prior arrangement though we are happy to accept internet shops here, speak to us first and we'll put all your shopping away ready for your arrival. Tesco and Asda deliver only.
We can also provide local meats from cattle grazed less than 8 miles away....we can even tell you their name if you wanted to know (we were eating Emeris the Aberdeen Angus for weeks! yum).
The beds have all the linen provided. We also provide dish washer tablets, sponges, fairy liquid and tea towels. Guests need to bring their own bath towels and toilet roll.
Doggies - We are dawg friendly but there is a charge of £15 per dog that comes to stay and we ask all guests to clean up their best friends poo. There is a small fenced garden area that dogs can be let off the lead in. However we ask that they are kept under close control when outside of this area - our chickens Are in a lightweight coup in the main meadow and we are surrounded by sheep fields that at certain times of the year are brimming with small lambs - if your dog cannot resist these temptations then this is probably not the property for you.
During the winter period from new year to the Easter school holiday we operate a 3 day minimum stay policy, for the rest of the year it is four nights if staying over a weekend and three nights during the week. In school holidays bookings run for a week, Saturday to Saturday.
The cinema barn is available subject to owner availability, as we need to put up the projector, which is not stored in the barn. This is a 5 minute job and if we are around we are more than happy to do this. If you wish to play 3D movies please bring your own 'active' glasses.
Enjoy yourself, thats the first rule.
Second rule is to just be respectful to the house.
No pets upstairs please!
I'm a wedding dress designer (Vicky Rowe) and when I'm not doing that I'm giving my poor husband Adam more creative jobs to do on our gorgeous holiday let, blame pinterest!!!. Together we've lovingly restored this 17th Century Welsh longhouse and made it the perfect spot for large groups to relax and take in the beautiful surrounding areas. We have two free range children, chickens, cats and a dog.
We love being hosts, it was our dream job when we first 'got together' in New Zealand backpacking over 10 years ago, an opportunity to meet people and share family commitments without being stuck nose to bumper in rush hour traffic. We tried our hands at managing a backpackers in Wanaka NZ between snowboarding on Treble Cone and from then on it was a case of when we would do it.
I'm from Wales and when we found this property went for it and have thrown ourselves head long. We have outdoor pizza ovens, a hot tub and are in the process of turning our barn into an outdoor cinema full of hay bales. We're also keen home brewers and upon request we can supply gallons of nettle beer and various wines for sampling.
Upon request I'll happily show any guests my bridal collection and a little brief insight into how I create my gowns.
We're on the edge of the Cambrian and Snowdonian mountain ranges, perfect spot for taking in both areas.
