Situated in Dowanhill this traditional garden flat is located in the basement of a Victorian town house in a tree-lined terrace .
Stylish interior, gas central heating, access to a wonderful garden and moments away from all the west end has to offer.

The main living area is open plan, the kitchen is stainless steel and wood, equipped with all the modern appliances, fridge freezer, dishwasher, washing machine, double oven, hob, microwave, kettle and toaster, all crockery and cutlery supplied.

The lounge area has a lovely comfortable leather sofa on which to relax and watch some TV or browse the internet, also has a sofa bed which can accommodate an extra guest. Luxury tiled bathroom with underfloor heating, including shower and bath.
The bedroom is modern, comfortable and functional containing a double bed and ample storage. It is carpeted making it a nice cosy room. Sleeps 2 guests comfortably.

Unusually for the west end our guests have access to a tranquil shared garden. An oasis of calm !

We live in the same building so are on hand for any situation that may arise

In the heart of the west end, in Dowanhill (unquestionably one of the most prestigious residential area`s in Glasgow) this peaceful leafy terrace is just minutes away from all that the bustling west-end has to offer. Byres road has an abundance of restaurants, tearooms, cafe`s offering plenty of choice, in fact the eclectic selection of eateries seems never ending.
You can even catch the latest art house release in the late night Grosvener cinema in Aston Lane.

Conveniently located the flat is within walking distance of Glasgow`s main attractions , Glasgow university, the Huntarian Museum, the Art Galleries, Kelvinhall International Sports Arena the Transport Museum, The Hydro, Armadillo and the SECC. The latest development in the area is the Oran Mor, a spectacular conversion of an old church, an exciting venue for Scottish art, music and theatre .If you feel like escaping the hustle and bustle the beautiful Botanic Gardens is located at the top of byres road. It is huge and varied with leafy walks by the river Kelvin, the famous Orchid house, the pleasant gardens and the famous Kibble palace.
Travel 25 minutes west and you can be in the Trossachs or Loch Lomond and surrounded by spectacular Scottish scenery

There is free on street parking.
Nearest bus stop on great western road takes 10 mins to city centre. Nearest underground is Hillhead and the nearest train station is Hyndland. Glasgow airport 10.3 miles from the apartment.

Thank-you Charlie and family for a great stay. The flat is in an excellent location, in the heart of the west end, just a few minutes to Byers road. The flat itself is well equipped, clean and quiet. We would definitely stay here again!

Charlie and Sheila were amazing hosts! I stayed at Charlie's place for 3 months with my one year old daughter. I had to do some work at the university and the flat was perfect because it was very close to the Uni as well as the subway station Hillhead. It was also great to be so close to Byres Road and enjoy the liveliness, the cafes and the shops but still stay in a quiet place away from it all. I really enjoyed my stay and would not hesitate to return if I had to. Top location and very comfortable flat.

We had a great 4 night stay at Charles's flat. Fantastic location a short walk from Bryres Road and the Botanics and well-kitted out with everything we needed. I was staying with my 11 month old and it was all made very easy for us with a travel cot and booster seat for the table - also a really secure building where we could leave the buggy in the entrance hall making the lower ground floor stairs accessible with the baby. The sofa bed was also really comfortable for my mother to stay on. I come to Glasgow semi-regularly to visit family and friends and would definitely hope to stay here again, great West End base!

This is a great flat with a fantastic location for exploring the best of the West End and within easy reach of the city centre. It's quiet yet close to lots of brilliant bars and restaurants - and is lovely and clean inside.

We had a great stay at Charlie's flat. It is 5 min walk from Hillhead station and Byers rd, close to the botanical gardens and a whole range if nice bars and restos. The flat had everything for our stay and was well kitted out and cosy. Communication was good and we appreciated Charlie's flexibility on check out etc. We would def stay again if visiting Glasgow.

Great short stay in Glasgow's west end. We were welcomed by our host and showed around the very well presented basement flat. There was a good selection of basics provided, comfortable bed, clean bathroom and fast WiFi. Parking was on street and we didn't have any problems. The location of the flat was perfect for exploring the city, being within walking distance of the tube and all of the shops and eateries in Byres road. However the street was quiet and residential. We would definitely recommend a stay here!
