This cozy four-bedroom home is walking distance from BART and the Gourmet Ghetto. No need for shoes indoors with oak floors and heated tile surfaces. The zen garden offers a tranquil escape, with a hot tub, outdoor shower, and gurgling waterfall.
This charming two-story 1906 Edwardian sleeps 6 people upstairs in 4 bedrooms. An additional 2 people can be accommodated on a pull out sofa in the living room downstairs. The dining room table seats 10 people when fully extended.
You have access to a very private backyard with a hot tub, a waterfall and pond and an outdoor shower surrounded by black bamboo. The outdoor shower together with the 1/2 bath downstairs is the second bathroom of the house. The garden and hot tub are off limits between the hours of 10 pm and 7 am out of respect for our peace loving nearby neighbors. No smoking in the garden, you can smoke on the front porch however.

Our section of Grant Street is quiet, as it is blocked from through-traffic on both ends. It is walking distance from the shops and eateries of the Gourmet Ghetto on upper Shattuck Ave. A few blocks away is Ohlone Park, which has a few playgrounds and grass space ideal for recreation.

The North Berkeley BART (subway) station is two blocks from the house, offering access to and from San Francisco and Oakland airports and the greater Bay Area. There is street parking in front of the property.

Primary renter must be over 25 to rent this house. Please no pets, no smoking and no shoes in the house. Also please observe quiet hours between 10 pm and 7 am in the Zen Garden and hot tub, out of respect for our neighbors who live close by.
