I offer a comfortable, single, private room in my non smoking house, in a quiet village in mid Wales. I have been an air BnB host for a few years now, and am very happy to assist your stay. I provide bed linen, duvet, blanket, towels, shampoo/shower gel & soap, a simple breakfast (cereal, toast, home-made preserves, fruit, fruit juice, tea and coffee) and there is a kettle in your room for making hot drinks. I am sorry the kitchen is not available for your use, but you are welcome to bring take-aways back and eat in the dining room. There are plenty of eating choices in the area, just ask me for reccomendations.

There is a small meditation room in the house offered for private meditation, personal reflection or quiet reading.
My garden is a 'work in progress', with a vegetable beds, a polytunnel, and fruit trees/bushes. If you are lucky you may be able to sample some home grown produce and preserves. Gardeners are especially welcome!

You share the bathroom (bath, shower, toilet) and dining room, and can use the garden. You will be given a door key on arrival.

I live in the house so you are sharing my home with me and a permanant lodger. I may be out at work or socialising in the evenings, but I am always happy to talk to my guests, and make your stay as comfortable as possible. I have part time work as an assistant to a woman with Downs' Syndrome who comes on planned regular visits to my house once a week but this would not impact on your stay.

Our village is situated 4 miles from the nearest town of Machynlleth, and is ideally placed for anyone wishing to explore mid/north Wales or attending local festivals/events. I am also only 1 mile from the famous Centre for Alternative Technology. We have a friendly local pub in the village serving food at weekends, and occaisional live music or pub quiz evenings and pool night.
The next village along from us, Corris, has a small village shop where you can buy emergency groceries, toiletries, gifts and stop for an excellent coffee and bite to eat. Corris also has a village pub, and is a pleasant half hour walk away or 5 mins on the bus.
Machynlleth is an attractive market town with a market every Wednesday, small shops, a supermarket, several cafes and pubs, a delicateson specialising in local Welsh produce, antique shops, a library with free internet and Wi-Fi access, a wholefood shop and cafe, a leisure centre open 7 days a week with a gym and swimming pool, a museum/art gallery with café, and several tourist opportunities in and around the local area. My house is in a residential street, but is a no through road, so is fairly quiet and safe. It backs onto open fields, and there are several footpaths and mountain bike trails very close by to explore. The Dyfi Osprey project is not far away, and the Ynys Las RSPB reserve, former site of the BBC Springwatch programme. We are surrounded by some stunning scenery, be it mountains and lakes, or beaches and rivers.
I will provide up to date tourist information with details of local attractions and places to visit.

There is a bus connection to the local town, where you can connect with train services to Aberystwyth and the north Wales coast, or Shrewsbury and Birmingham where you can connect with services to London and the rest of the UK. There is also a bus route north to Dolgellau and Snowdonia.
Please note that the bus connecting us with town does not run in the evening, but there are local taxi firms.
I can collect you from town if you are travelling by public transport.
For local bus timetables visit and we are on route 30/34

We are located on the very southern edge of the beautiful Snowdonia national park which is easily accessible by road, rail and bus, but please note that Mt Snowdon itself is still a 2 hour drive away.

Hello. I am a friendly person with an interest in gardening. I can speak some German and a little French, also some Welsh- not listed on air B&B's list of languages! I like socialising and meeting new people, but am also quiet and reflective rather than gregarious!
