Rustic, unique, and PRIVATE! Located off the main road to El Retiro in a secure gated community, our guesthouse cabin provides the proximity to Medellin with the peacefulness of the countryside. Complete kitchen and bathroom, and full cell reception
Quaint, rustic, and unique, this unattached 2 person cabin/guesthouse offers the unique feeling of living in the middle of the jungle combined with the amenities of everyday living. Eat or nap on the rooftop terrace surrounded by a waterfall and jungle vegetation, bathe under a hot shower in the vaulted bathroom ceilings, warm yourself with a hot chocolate by the fireplace, and cook yourself a gourmet meal with fresh produce and meat you buy in the pueblo.
You will have access to free parking and the cabin, along with the pathways to walk surrounding the property. If you absolutely need to use the internet, you can arrange a time with the owner.
Interazione con gli ospiti
The cabin is completely private, unattached and cannot be easily seen from the main house. I will be present during your stay, you will see me working the land, riding my bike, or walking my dogs. If guests need any help with directions, tours, recommendations, language, etc, we are more than happy to help as much as possible. Often guests are invited to join the bonfires or barbeques.
Altre cose da evidenziare
You need to be able to walk stairs comfortably to reach the cabin.
We can provide firewood if needed, or if you need help with the fireplace.
We offer a huge colombian country breakfast as well as private city tours and bike rides (at an extra charge, ask about prices).
For private security, please inquire directly.
We do suggest guests bring enough groceries for one meal upon arrival, then while you are out sightseeing pick up groceries for the other meals. There are plenty of Mom ´n Pop stores close by and in the pueblos, some of the stores have delivery.
There are great restaurants close by too, everything from 1 - 5 stars, with prices ranging from 1 - 5 stars.
We also advise people to bring cash, albeit many (not all!) of the restaurants and shops now accept credit cards.
No hard drugs.
No loud music.
Only paying guests allowed into the community.
No smoking inside the cabin.
No feeding the animals or wildlife.
