I hope you're lucky enough to catch a thunderstorm while sitting on the porch swing, or sample some grapes from the vines in the backyard. Built in the 1920s, this cozy getaway is the perfect way to experience the Queen City of the Ozarks.
You will have access to the entire cottage, minus the Management Office (my bedroom).
Interazione con gli ospiti
I love to show people around Springfield, also known as the Queen City and the Birthplace of Route 66. Restaurants, trails, shopping, entertainment, underground tunnels—Springfield has it all. I enjoy entertaining guests, but if a relaxed, private stay is what you're looking for, you've found the right place.
A two minute walk will take you to Bambino's, an Italian café local to Springfield. The Missouri State University campus is a four minute walk north of the cottage, and a two minute walk down Loren will find you at Phelps Grove Park, where students nap in hammocks and joggers make their rounds.
Un giro nei dintorni
There is a bus stop four minutes from the front door. You are within walking distance (fifteen minutes) of a local grocery store.
If you need help getting anywhere in Springfield, let me know and I'd be happy to find you a taxi, bus, or rental car (and now Uber).
Altre cose da evidenziare
You will have a complimentary self-serve breakfast for every morning of your stay. I'll check with you to see what sounds good. Please let me know if you would like anything else, don't hesitate to ask. I can also recommend nearby cafés and restaurants.
There is no garbage disposal in the kitchen sink. Instead, any compostable material can be placed in a container in the freezer. There are a waste basket and container for recycling below the kitchen sink. I have a washer/dryer and laundry detergent in the basement, which you may use at no charge.
The Cottage is non-smoking, but you are welcome to do so outside. Pets are welcome! There is a one-time $15 cleaning fee for pets.

I have a passion for hospitality and for Springfield. Before coming here, I couldn't have imagined how attached I would become to the people and the city. I grew up both in Missouri and in Taiwan, as the son of missionaries. My heart is split across two continents, but hosting people from across the U.S. and around the world is good therapy. I love a good cup of coffee (just started using a French press) and any film written by Noah Baumbach, Greta Gerwig, Charlie Kaufman, or Paul Thomas Anderson.
