Aarhus is known as the City of Smiles, Danish people are known as the Happiest People on earth - combine those two things, and you found the perfect spot for your next journey!
Please read through the Housemanual before and during your stay - everything, literally everything is in the Housemanual and I would assume that once you book my apartment, you also accept living my few, but fair rules. Thanks
Please do NOT walk with outside shoes inside my apartment. Thanks.
This is a NON SMOKING apartment! Please respect that.
Please take care of my neighbors – while you are on holiday they have to get up and go to work tomorrow.
If you loose the key while staying here, the locksmith is 100% on your bill. This includes the price for a new coded key, a key chip and a keychain
When you leave for the last time, please send me a text so I know that you have left.
Leave the key on the table and close the door behind you. Either me or my cleaning lady will then come and pick up the key and lock the door after you.
After showering, please wipe both the glass walls and the tiles including the floor with the swab, this way it’s easier to keep the shower looking clean.
Please hang your towels and anything else wet up for drying in the bathroom, before you leave.
Do not hang wet towels – or anything else wet on my wooden chairs or wooden table.
It is safe to drink tap water in Aarhus and in all of Denmark.
However coming from other places in the world; it can have a different taste than what you are used to.
If you don’t like the taste, you can buy bottled water in any other grocery store, for instant Føtex in the bottom of the building.
There is a Drying Rack in the closet in the bedroom, please use that as much as possible to save the environment.
Feel free to use whatever you find in the cabinets, fridge or freezer – it is there for the same reason – if you leave something behind, I will be happy when I return!
If you want to use the washing machine, feel free to do so – but please be environmental and do not wash 1 pair of underwear and 2 socks in the machine! Consider if that could be washed by hand in the sink?
There is washing liquid in the closet above the washing machine, but if you need to wash more than 1 machine load, please buy more washing liquid, so there is something left for my cleaning lady when she comes to clean and wash after you check out.
Before using the dryer, please consider if the cloth could dry, hanging on the drying rack?
Also remember, it’s a condense dryer, so it will stop drying if the water tank is full of water.
The water tank is on the front of the dryer, behind the small lit.
Dishcloths & Kitchen Towels
There are more clean dishcloths and clean kitchen towels in the floor drawer underneath the oven – yes, the very very bottom drawer!
Always use the wooden cutting board when using a knife in the kitchen – do not cut directly into the counter top!!
The cutting boards are in the cabinet next to the oven.
There are different English, Danish and other language channels on my TV – zap around and see if there is anything you like to watch.
If you want to connect the Apple TV, feel free to do so – But do not forget to log out again before you leave.
Please do NOT forget to empty the trash when you leave for the last time!
There are public underground dumpsters outside the main entrance on Skt. Nicolaus Gade.
If they are full or closed, there are more public underground dumpsters on Valdemarsgade.
Walk out the main entrance; go left till you reach the corner of the bike shop. Look right and there you will see the other section of the underground dumpsters.
There are new trash bags underneath the sink or in the wicker baskets on top of the cupboards.
Feel free to turn on the heater if you are cold, however once you check out or leave for a longer period, please turn the heater off in the summer and down to 1 in the winter.
Please remember to turn on the dishwasher, before you leave.
It is okay that you cannot empty the dishwasher before you leave, but at least turn it on, so my cleaning lady can empty it when she arrives.
There are dishwasher tablets underneath the kitchen sink.
As you can see, there is a build in Sound Bar in the kitchen, next to the refrigerator.
You can connect to it through your phone, tablet or computer via Bluetooth, and play your own music from your own devices.
There is free Wi-Fi in my apartment. The code and network name is in the apartment upon your arrival.
There is a red Nilefisk Vacuum Machine in the closet on the last shelf.
If the bag is full, there are more new bags in the small baskets on top of the Kitchen Cupboards.
There are more tea lights and candles in one of the small wicker baskets on top of the Kitchen Cupboards.
There is a lighter in the small red sewing box on the floor or in the wicker baskets
Extra of Everything
If you are missing something, like new batteries for the remote, napkins, vacuum bags, etc. look in the small wicker baskets on top of the Kitchen Cupboards.
If you want to use the common roof terrace (200 m2), which is for everybody in the building, you can either take the stairs to the 6th floor or take the elevator straight up.
- you can’t miss it once you are there.
Just remember to bring everything that you have brought up with you, down again.
It is as mentioned, a common roof terrace, so it is up to each individual to keep it clean and tidy.
If for nothing else, just go up there to see the panoramic view of Aarhus!
BBQ & Grill
The roof terrace does invite to a grill evening on those hot summer days – however it is NOT LEGAL to use open fire on the common roof terrace according to City Law!!
If you do not follow this super simple law and I get a notification about it, I will pass on the bill to you regardless.
If you really want to have a BBQ, to across the street to the park at the City Hall or at Aros or the Music House – it is less than 50 steps from the front door.
You pay for cleaning when you rent my apartment, but you do not pay for me to tidy up the apartment – like carrying out the trash, hanging up your wet towels, do the dishes, empty the fridge for open or used food etc.
If you do not tidy up after yourself, I’ll charge pr. hour it take for me to do the job for you. I’m Danish so the salary will be Danish as well!
I’ll take the money out of your security deposit – this have however never been an issue, so I hope you’ll help me to keep up this statistic.
Reviews & Ratings
No matter what site you have booked my apartment through, please write a review when you come back home, so that other guests have a chance of knowing what to expect while staying in my apartment.
I myself give everybody who stays here, a review and ratings, if the booking site allows me to do so.
Damage to the Apartment
This is a private home, so if you break anything, I’m sure it was an accident.
However please let me know so I can replace and fix it.

I’m a Entrepreneur and Broadcast Journalist with a bad case of wanderlust. I traveling between Denmark and Spain due to work and love. When not home in Denmark or Spain I rent out my HOME and so far, I've only had good experience doing that!
My experiences with Airbnb, have put my scribbling mind at work and the result is a book called "How to win at Airbnb" - that was put up for sale in May 2015.
Airbnb encourage me the Host, to tell you the Guest, what my life motto is. It's real simple; "The one who has the ability, has the obligation". So I wrote a book.
