Thanks Raj! Sorry about the construction. The city itself is a beehive of activity these days. The main part of the structure across the street is now done and will quickly become interior work which should be much less noticeable. Thanks for the nice words Cristin! We checked with the school that is building the addition, and they reported that construction cannot start before 7am. But we will double-check that as we need to know. Also, the city regs say not before 7am. Regarding the lock, we will have a look and get that fixed up!

Simply untrue. We were in communication with this guest over his entire stay but he wanted the impossible, and when he couldn't get the impossible, he decided to punish us and also get his money back. The punishment part began when we could not extend his stay, as other guests had already reserved the unit beyond his booking. That is the exact time when his demeanor changed and he became hostile. His major complaint was water pressure, which hadn't been an issue with previous guests. But when we checked, it seemed ok but could be better so we called the water company about it. When they ran a test, nothing was found to be wrong, but the pressure did became stronger and we asked the guest if he found it satisfactory. He somehow took the question to be said in a negative way. It was not intended to be anything but a direct question in hopes that he would have found improvement and satisfaction. We've run the dishwasher, shower and washing machine simultaneously following his departure and the water pressure is fantastic. We could go point by point of specific communications that we had with this guest but suffice it to say that we had been texting, emailing, and calling during his time with us. As far as sarcasm and hostility, one only needs to read the private feedback we received to gain some context: You are an absolute joke of a property manager. And I use "joke" literally, as the lack of communication from yourself or your firm has become laughable - literally. I build thousands of units in the city of Boston and I can assure you no one working under me, nor involvement in any of my projects will require Swank Properties awful services in the future. You blatantly ignored and sarcastically answered questions and requests 12 days late. Absolutely nothing was resolved. Swanks answering service did not respond to my messages for 12 days. You did not respond to me for 12 days, through email, messages, or phone calls. You gave me sarcastic responses involving water pressure as if it did not meet my "satisfaction". You clearly have no concept of management in terms of development, nor construction in general. I can't stress this enough - you are a joke of a property manager. How do you run an operation where a tenant cannot get a hold of a single person within that organization? And you call yourself a "manager"? Please understand, you are awful at what you do. To sum up, we would simply refer future guests to our hundreds of glowing reviews of us and this unit and understand that this review is an extreme outlier. Toward the end of his stay, he wanted to stay longer. Yet he gave us a 1 star? Sadly, this can only be interpreted as retaliation. Did we thoroughly communicate with this guest? Yes. Was there a period of time where the water pressure was less than satisfactory? Perhaps. Did we endeavor to improve the water pressure and successfully achieve that? Definitely. Did we jump through hoops to try to satisfy this guest? Absolutely.
