Our loft apartment is bright and sunny, north views of clear sky, south terraces for smoking or hanging outside with privacy at rear of building. The apartment is in a former embroidery factory, living room has 17' ceilings and opens onto the kitchen. PLEASE SEE NEW AD:


Freshly renovated warehouse loft with generous size rooms, great light, safe neighborhood, 20-25 minutes to Port Authority Bus Terminal (midtown/Times Square). You will be renting your own SEPARATE apartment, not shared with mine!

2 bus services ($3.00-$3.75 each way), light rail & ferry connections close by.
If you are unfamiliar with the location please look on a map of NYC and NJ across the river. We are across the Hudson River from Midtown NYC at 60th Street. West New York is the bedroom for most Broadway performers who chose its convenience to Times Square and its economy of price as their neighborhood. So don't be surprised to be riding home every night with Broadway Actors and Musicians on your same bus!

Apartment is on 2nd floor of former embroidery factory. FREE WIRELESS INTERNET. 42" Plasma TV, Stereo with Ipod link, Radiant floor heat, central air, two private terraces facing south (this is great for smokers!!!), new stainless appliances & kitchen, marble trim master bath with 2-person soak tub & shower. Bedrooms have blackout shades & carpeting. Unit has washer/dryer. Bldg has security cameras, 3 blocks from all transportation buses to NYC Port Authority.

A 20 minute walk down the hill brings you to Starbucks, PF Chang's China Bistro, NJ Light Rail train (to Statue of Liberty Park and Hoboken) and the Ferries to NYC midtown and Wall Street.

Parking may be arranged for an additional fee to purchase town visitor's parking pass. Newark, NJ (EWR) airport is our closest airport and taxis are about $55 each way.

NOTE: Airbnb "Street View" is over 4 years old, before we renovated building!

Note to those of you who have not used Airbnb:
• If the website allows you to respond to me regarding the dates you are interested in, those dates are available. It won't let you try to arrange a stay with dates that are already booked.
• To find out the pricing of your stay plug in the dates, enter your credit card information to pay and before sending to me for my acceptance you will see the final price. This price includes my rental fee ($135.80/night after AIRBNB deductions), $100 cleaning fee plus the 7-12% fees AIRBNB charges you on top. I can't tell you what those are as they have their own formulas. This is the same procedure for any AIRBNB rentals.
• If you are satisfied you hit "Send" and I get your reservation to accept. You will get a confirmation that it is final and approved.

Todo el trato lo tuvimos con Luis, que fue un gran anfitrión y que nos recibió y trató muy bien durante toda la estancia. El apartamento es magnífico, estuvimos muy a gusto y el barrio es muy tranquilo y con supermercados y sitios para comer o cenar muy proximos. En tan solo 20-25 minutos en autobús estas en el centro de Manhattan. Sin duda si volvemos y está disponible, repetiremos.

The apartment was lovely - the photos do not do it justice. It is spacious and clean and we found it a real haven after the madness of Manhattan. The beds are queen size and super comfortable and the decor is tasteful and well-designed. The kitchen is fully equipped - has a huge fridge as well as a washer and tumble-dryer. The neighbourhood is pleasant, not scenic particularly, but it felt safe and there is a supermarket and other corner-type shops in easy walking distance. We used the local bus services, a 3 minute walk away, to get into Manhatttan which, on a good day took only 15-20 mins. But I would avoid the rush hour, as the journey through the Lincoln Tunnel could be really slow. Luis was a lovely 'landlord' - we arrived in the early hours of the morning having been in immigration at JFK for nearly 3 hours and he was very gracious and kind. He also helped us with local information and suggestions for eating out, sightseeing etc. We can heartily recommend this apartment!

Appartement super spacieux, confortable, très agréable et calme. Un havre au retour des journées de visites rythmées ! L'appartement se situe en dehors de Manhattan. Pour se rendre dans NY City (20mn) il faut prendre le bus à 300m de l'appartement (prévoir un budget de 6$/jr). Appartement idéal pour 2 couples (1 grand espace commun, 2 grandes chambres, 2 salles de bains WC indépendantes, un balcon, des équipements parfaits pour cuisiner). Luis est très accueillant, facilite le séjour et est réactif. Super séjour à NY, les qualités de l'hébergement y ont aussi contribué et nous recommandons cet appartement.

Veldig fin,romslig og hyggelig leilighet. Lett å komme seg til og fra Manhattan fra busstopp I nærheten. Hyggelig vert som møtet oss ved ankomst. Ingenting å klage på

A very spacious & well equipped first floor apartment, as depicted in the ad. Luis, the co-host, communicated really well from the time we booked through to our departure. This included a very comprehensive welcome briefing on the apartment as well as where to shop and eat in the area and transport options. He very kindly did some printing for us during our stay too and at any contact made it clear he was there to assist. The two bathroom set up worked really well for three adults. Travel into Manhattan via bus or ferry was easy and afforded spectacular views of the cityscape. We had a great experience over our six night stay and can highly recommend the apartment.
