3 camere da letto
Lush privacy combined with period (but updated) charm, this 8,000 sq. ft. property at the top of Angeleno Heights has off street parking and separate homes including a carriage house done in 50s noir style. Great downtown views and an even better location--short walk to Sunset Blvd., Dodger Stadium and Echo Lake! The homes are very private; great for groups needing their own space but wanting to share a intimate and inspirational setting that is only a brief jaunt to trendy shops and eateries.
Charming, peaceful and very private 1923 craftsman enclave containing separate homes and located in the "Angeleno Heights" section of Echo Park--a charming hill overlooking the central city.
Here's a rundown of the units:
1) The Main Home (two bedrooms, one bath): Modern amenities and traditional styling combine for comfort and privacy-- fully updated kitchen, organic memory foam King bed and flat screen TV with HBO as well as central air and heat and several vintage furnishings, including Pullman railroad pocket doors. There are two bedrooms--the main with a California king bed, the second with a twin (this twin bedroom opens to the dining area but is well separated from the main bedroom).
2) The Carriage House: Newly designed and installed 350 sq. feet of creative space--15 foot ceilings, a full kitchen, tiled bathroom and secluded back patio. We designed this guest home to be snap shot of the mid 1950s film noir style popularized in films like "Kiss Me Deadly." Filled with original fixtures, including enamel kitchen counters and a Ming Green bathroom. The kitchen has a microwave as well as conventional stove and oven.
There is a new front loading washer dryer for your laundry needs.
The two structures are separate--no attached walks and they have separate, private outdoor spaces including a gas grill.
Off street parking available at all times, please don't fret about parking!
Perched above street but with easy access. Hollywood and Downtown L.A. are a five minute drive or half hour walk.
If you are new to L.A. and want to get a true sense of its history and how its geography and climate influenced its design, these homes and Echo Park in general are a great choice.

I grew up in Los Angeles and love the city and its neighborhoods. It's a bit funky for sure but it's also strangely indelible and I'm so pleased to be able to share my property on Airbnb and welcome visitors who seek something beyond a faceless hotel when they come here. Whether you're a Dodger fan, a student of Victorian architecture, a churritos hound or just a dog-walking yogini hipster, I think you'll find Echo Park to be a rich experience. I'd be happy to suggest a few off the beaten path ventures that should give you a unique look at things.
I'm also very excited about the Palm Springs Spanish cottages now being offered on Airbnb. These two homes, built 1938 and 1939, are authentic icons of this mesmerizing city's rich history. I especially encourage any foreign visitors to America who are curious about the desert to experience a few nights enjoying the stillness and (conversely) incredible opportunities the city offers, including landmark midcentury architecture and design. Not that man-made is what made Palm Springs--the desert air and views of the San Jacinto mountains, 11,000 feet directly above you, are alone worth the journey.
A partial list of the events Palm Springs, a town of only 40,000 people, hosts includes the Coachella and Stagecoach music festivals (April), the BNP Paribas tennis tournament (Feb.), the Film Festival (Jan.), Pride Week (Nov.), Modernism Week (Feb.), Restaurant Week (June), and a fantastic vintage car show (March). Last but not least, in early April there is the Dinah Shore LPGA event, the largest Lesbian gathering in the world that brings the entire town together for a "lights out" party.
All of these events are a short drive (or some cases walk) from our property.
And if you're interested in visiting Joshua Tree National Park, another stunning natural resource the area is blessed to have, it's less than an hour by car.
