Great 4th floor place, super close to the Jordaan. Nice clean, bright room with shared kitchen and shower (together with Claire and jael). Its bright quiet and convenient.
Located on the 4th floor in a 1920's Amsterdam School Architecture house.
1 to 2 people. It's on the top floor, and you will share the studio appartment with Claire and Jael. The room is simple and small (big enough for 2 people). The bed is either a double bed or 2 single. Its always clean and comfortable, also newly decorated (winter 2014). It has a table for you to work on or have your meal there. The curtains will take all lights out from the outside and since you're not staying in the party centre, you will need an alarm clock to wake up. There's a nice view over the courtyard and you can enjoy the sunset and view over the other rooftops. There is no elevator but the staircase is wide for Amsterdam Standards (mind you the older houses are almost vertical climbs in the city centre).
There is a well equipped kitchen next to the room. Great to make basic meals. It doesn't have an oven, but all the rest is there to cook your meals. It always has a fair amount of free to use tea and coffee. There is a bar table with 2 barstools.
The shower is next to the room. All brand new (installed in winter 2014)
The toilet also next to the room and separate from the shower. It gets cleaned well after every guest(s) of course. It even has a heater in case it's winter time.
Coffee and Tea. Freshly made beds, towels, Use of washing machine, wifi (fast), central heating, city info and guides, Public transportation info, shops and routes on (website hidden) maps.
Claire and Jael speak English and French and understand basic Spanish, Italian and a very limited portuguese.
All other questions or suggestions are more then welcome, and possible to discuss with me.
Private Kitchen, Bathroom, toilet
Fast Wifi (80 MB/s)

The best host in town:)
I love my guests, i love my town, and i love telling lots of stories. However i will not invade your private space, so in case you just want a place to stay and as little fuss as possible thats perfectly fine by me. In case you like i can give lots of inside tips where to go and what to do. Since everyone has different ideas of what's fun and not i will listen to your requests, interests and possibly be able to add on to that accordingly.
Very centrally located. In fact this area is the new centre for local folks. It has so many new and fantastic restaurants, bars, shops and other attractions. All providing better customer service, food (all kinds and very diverse) and has a real local feel to it. You will not be treated as a tourist and be welcomed with open arms in most of the places. Of course you want to see the historic centre, and thats only a 20 minute and lovely walk passing canals, shops, bike rentals, atm's and much more. A perfect connected tram-stop is 2 minutes from the apartment and trams from there serve the entire city directly (12,13,14, also Tram nr 7 and busses 18,21 and 15 are very close) A direct bus connection to the airport operates every early morning in case you have an early flight out. Otherwise the airport is 40 minutes by public transportation.
12,13,14 and tram 7
bus 21, 18 and 15 and 247 (direct to airport ealry mornings on weekdays)
Theres a nice parc closeby, a gym (like 5 or 6), new yoga studio(15 euro per class), bike rental, 5 supermarkets, little organic shops, 20 different kinds of restaurants, most with excellent reviews, (try Surinam food, or Indonesian, or Dutch, French, Italian, American, Mixed, Thai, etc). Lots of new shops open up all the time, from clothing to nail polishing. Its part of the exploration. A street market that's 5 minutes from the house has one of the best sandwiches in town. Humus sandwich named broodje liefde (sandwich of love), this Lebanese man makes an awesome cheap (4 Euro) and very filling sandwich. No meat, but who cares, all flavors are there. Also this market has the cheapest veggies and other produce you can find.
Phone shops also nearby.
IN short, it's perfect, i like it better than anything else. Find out for yourself!
I am very clear on this.
1. No 3rd party invites (guests that aren't mentioned in the booking
2. No smoking
3. No drugs in the house
4. No party's (my place is great for relaxing after having partied in town)
treat my place as if its your own home, be respectful to my neighbors. Then it feel like your own home away from home.
In case you have a friend or so who wants to come by, ask me first.
Super cute Apartment! I's very close to the Tram-Station and to supermarket! Also it's very central but also a very quite place to stay! I'm coming back! Promise :)
The apartment was really nice, very clean and tidy. Dirk was very receptive and helpful! We totally recommend it!
The ad for Dirk's place was very accurate. Dirk was flexible on our check in time. He met us at his place and gave us a complete tour of this flat and answered all kinds of questions about the area. His home was very cozy and had all the necessary amenities. We couldn't have asked for a better host for our two night stay in Amsterdam.
The reservation was canceled 8 days before arrival. This is an automated posting.
Great location. Easy to explore such a great city. Dirk extremely helpful and easy to coordinate check in even though I had a delayed flight.
Dirk did a great job welcoming us and giving us a detailed walkthrough of places that we should visit. The studio is good for two people at most cozily, but for what me and my friend were looking for, and us not being in the studio it was good.
