Marvel at colorful multiple-type gardens, fruit trees and shrubs, mature woods, deck, hammock, two gas grills and fire pit, outside. Swing on the bench at our small private pond, hidden away in our woods, and, in season, celebrate nature by listening to chorus-like peepers, chirping wood frogs and night owls.

INCLUDED IN THE RENTAL IS A PASS TO A PRIVATE SANDY BEACH ON BEAUTIFUL QUEECHY LAKE (along with lifeguards, dock, boating and fishing), which is 3 miles away.
There are two first-floor bedrooms available for guests, one has a queen sized Tempur Pedic bed and the other a pillow-top double bed. Each room can accommodate another foam/blow-up mattress on the floor. The upstairs has a master bedroom with a pillow top queen sized bed, magnificent views and a ceiling fan. In addition there is a guest room/study/entertainment room with a pull out couch.
There are foam mattresses and blow-up mattresses available for any room. All rooms have linens, and dresser and closet space.
The house is home to two beautiful cats. I have had people stay in the house who are allergic to cats, but with their basic medication have done fine. The house is meticulously cleaned and vacuumed before any rentals, but if anyone in your party is super allergic to cats, they may react to some of the dander inherent in a house where cats live.
Unlimited use of entire house. Bathrooms on both first and second floor. Cook meals, store goods in refrigerator, make some tea, relax in grand open room, build a fire, play spinet piano, browse our extensive libraries. Enjoy our backyard, patio area, and fire pit. Walk in our woods, sit on the bench at our pond. Park your car(s) in our two bay garage.
We will always try to greet you in person upon arrival and departure, in addition to phone calls and emails before your visit. We usually stay close by during your visit, so we can be of assistance in person or have someone else help you as needed.
Pleasingly quiet and secluded, yet fairly close to neighbors in our rural setting. We enjoy watching and listening to the birds at our feeders, noticing the deer and turkeys traveling through our yard and woods, listening to the seasonal serenade of the frogs peeping, and the owls hooting. Go outside and enjoy nature- it's at your service.
Plenty of free parking on site and a two bay garage with a doorway into the house. One must have a car to get around in this area. Use our bikes, canoe or kayak for recreational travel!

The Berkshires are uniquely and internationally known as a cultural and nature destination location. My house is nearly equidistant to ski areas Jiminy Peak, Butternut Basin, Catamount and Bosquet.
INCLUDED IN YOUR RENTAL IS A PASS TO A PRIVATE SANDY BEACH ON BEAUTIFUL QUEECHY LAKE (along with lifeguards, dock, boating and fishing), which is 3 miles away.
Welcome! I hope you enjoy my home. Here are some notes that might enhance your stay...
Treat house with respect.
No smoking in the house and no pets allowed.
Preferred to leave shoes on porch.
Rebecca's home was super cozy, and she was very welcoming and helpful. The woods surrounding the house were magical in the snow, and use of Rebecca's snow shoes and sleds made it a great adventure! Would highly recommend this house to anyone looking for a relaxing weekend in the country.
Our group of 9 friends spent the MLK weekend at Rebecca’s place. Booking was fast and easy; Rebecca was very flexible with our check-in and check-out time. The house was clean, well equipped, and comfortable. We had a good time staying at Rebecca’s place. Thanks again for sharing this wonderful house with us.
We spent our thanksgiving at Becky's and had a wonderful time. The house is lovely and perfect for our gathering. The communication was seamless and easy. We definitely recommend this place for anyone who's looking for a nice and peaceful getaway.
This was a warm, clean and relaxing home. We were provided with everything we could possibly need and Becky was on call when we had questions. Great for big groups - we really loved the fireplace and outdoor bonfire. Beautiful piece of land and a remote, quiet place to enjoy time with friends.
House was perfect for 6 of us. We spent most of our house time in the Great Room, which accommodated us to read, sprawl, play cards, comfortably. Becky & Bob were both there when we arrived (earlier than we had suggested) but they were gracious and welcoming.
Becky is a wonderful host and her cozy, roomy home was perfect for our weekend getaway.
We were a group of 14 and stayed two nights. Here are the highlights:
- She's extremely accessible and quick to respond to questions leading up to and during our stay. She greeted us and gave us a thorough tour upon arrival.
- She's laid back and a pro at lending her primary residence to a large group of late 20s/early 30s professionals.
- The house is homey and full of plants and natural light. It has a sophisticated, well-traveled, hippie vibe.
- The kitchen is clean and well-stocked with all of the appliances, dinnerware, and spices we needed to cook breakfast, lunch, and dinner for the group.
- Same for the grills. We had a nice barbeque our first night.
- Definitely use the pass to the private beach on the lake. It was a great way to spend an afternoon.
- There's an hammock in the living room! We got a kick out of that.
- We loved sitting on the swing bench on the peaceful, secluded pond in the yard.
- There were enough linens and towels for everyone in the group.
- The listing clearly states her policy on noise late at night, and she'll hold you to that. If you're a large group and want to hang around the campfire after 11, you should respect her and her neighbor's wishes, or you'll get a phone call.

I am a retired elementary school teacher with grown children who live in NYC. My home is available as a B and B or as a full house rental. I love hostessing and sharing my home with others. I love making people feel comfortable and helping them take advantage of this area.
I have spent much of my life traveling. I have spent a year in Mexico and Guatemala and a year in Ecuador. I have traveled to most of the US states, to Europe and Israel. I hope to get to Africa and Asia before I die. I usually stay at hostels because I enjoy meeting other people. In another life I would like to run a youth hostel. This could be the next best thing.
I am an outdoor enthusiast and particularly like hiking, swimming, bicycling, kayaking and gardening. When I am feeling down, it is usually because I haven't had enough time outdoors.
I play the clarinet with the Eagles Band in Pittsfield, Ma.
I have lived in this home for 30 years. I currently live with my boyfriend and 2 cats. Presently I work for the Berkshire Immigrant Center and for Common Good Finance, an organization creating an alternative, local economy.
