Your spacious downstairs apartment is tucked in the trees at the top of a mountain on the lower floor of a large home, with a separate entrance and private bathroom. There are no window blinds, yet no one can see you. There's a well-stocked breakfast frig. Main room is 20'x17' plus 8'X8' desk space, and 5-1/2' by 5-1/2' kitchenette (all one room). 400 Sq Ft deck has table, chairs and a porch swing for two. (The wooden porch swing, present for so many years, retired...)
We're on a centralized hillside location at the end of a paved, sparsely populated private road with beautiful mountain views. Your space has a private side entrance and two private decks. Large private bath with shower (5-1/2' X 11-1/2') on the same lower level is just a few steps from your room.
The room is mostly windows - it's airy and light -- and there are no blinds, yet no one can see you. You're in the trees. If you are looking for a dark cave to sleep in late, this is probably not your place.
If however, you'd like to awaken in the middle of a forest to mountain views, sunlight playing across the valley and the promise of a great day in the Blue Ridge, then this is your place!
When people walk into the space, they often stop and breathe in deeply as they look around. We can feel them relax -- so nice! They often say, "Oh, this is beautiful... way better than any photo."
You'll hear songbirds and tree-frogs in season. If you're lucky, you'll even get to see our white squirrels!

Terri works from home and her schedule varies. She is available to assist in any way upon request. Eric passed away in March of 2017, so it's just me now.

We appreciate the quiet of our neighborhood but we don't expect our guests to be on "Library Rules." We do not smoke and do not allow smoking in or near the house. Light alcohol is OK - no drugs please. To sum up - respect everything and everyone.
My wife and I were both born in small farming communities, Terri in Iowa and Eric in Upstate, NY. We are both self-employed and work from our beautiful home in the Blue Ridge Mountains.
We moved here in 2009 from the Los Angeles area - we wanted to get back to nature! We love it here and enjoy sharing our experience with other people.
We are both singers and dearly love music. Terri is also a voice coach and Eric plays guitar and writes music. Both of us have been involved in the personal growth/human potential arenas most of our adult lives and have led seminars all over the country. Terri is a brilliant relationship consultant.
We try to eat healthy, but are not fanatical about it. We are accepting of others beliefs. We are non-smokers and ask our guests to refrain from smoking in or near the house.
Eric speaks a little bit of Spanish, but not fluently...
We love people in general and we look forward to your visit with us!
