Five minutes from beach with a parking space, Internet access with very friendly host. 4km from Split and its attractions. Apartment is 51m2 and it has a one bedroom, Kitchen and living area.
Very quiet neighborhood and next to the well known restaurant.

Stobreč (Latin: Epetium, Greek: Επιδαυρος (Epidauros) is a historical town, now village in Croatia located near Split and Solin. In modern times, Stobreč is considered a desirable vacation/camping spot located on a beautiful scenic peninsula ensconced between the Adriatic Sea and pine woods. Population: approximately 4,700. The elevation is four meters above sea level.
The sarcophagus of Lucius Artorius Castus (a Roman prefect thought to possibly be one of the inspirations for some of the legends of King Arthur) was discovered in Stobreč.

The largest body of recorded ancient history in the vicinity of Stobreč relates to the development of Diocletian's Palace, now within the present day city of Split. Diocletian founded this palace upon his retirement as Roman Emperor.

"The steep cliff above the place has the ruins of the Stobreč citadel along with Klis, the most heavily fortified settlement in the vicinity of Split. The city gate is a part of the Greek defensive walls and is the only preserved Greek gate in the Adriatic. The Greek era knew this settlement under the name Epiteum/Epetium. It was founded in 3rd century BC as colony of Issa, today’s island of Vis."
Stobreč is located on the coast of the central Dalmatia, within the administrative borders of the eastern part of the city of Split. The beach at Stobreč is over one km in extent.

"Split (Croatian pronunciation: [splît]) is a Mediterranean city on the eastern shores of the Adriatic Sea, centred around the ancient Roman Palace of the Emperor Diocletian and its bay and port. With a population of 178,192 citizens, and a metropolitan area numbering up to 349,314. Split is by far the largest Dalmatian city and the second-largest city of Croatia. Spread over a central peninsula and its surroundings, Split's greater area includes the surrounding seaside towns as well. An intraregional transport hub, the city is a link to numerous Adriatic islands and the Apennine peninsula, as well as a popular tourist destination.

Split is also one of the oldest cities in the area. While it is traditionally considered just over 1,700 years old counting from the construction of Diocletian's Palace in AD 305, archaeological research relating to the original founding of the city as the Greek colony of Aspálathos (Aσπάλαθος) in the 6th century BC, establishes the urban tradition of the area as being several centuries older."

Consigliata

During our stay Tina was abroad for her job but her brother Toni treated us in a perfect way! The house was confortable, the kitchen very well equipped and all we needed was inside. Another bedside in the bedroom would be helpful as well as a working light on the bathroom's mirror....even the spring mattress was not that confortable for me but for two weeks worth to sleep on it. The outside area is still under construction but is ok, we often had our dinners there or sunbath on deck chairs and you can have a beautiful view on the mountains. Air conditioning and internet wi-fi were ok. Nearby you can go to sandy beaches (Duće & Omiš), concrete platforms with showers are almost anywhere in Stobreč as well as a confortable beach made by little stones just beside the camping. The sea is amazing everywhere you go! The beautiful Split and Trogir are just 6 & 30 kilometers away. Split is a perfect start point to visit Hvar and Brač islands by boat or hydrofoil and to experience the "BLUE LAGOON ISLANDS KRKNJAŠI & MASLINICA ISLAND ŠOLTA TOUR" with the lunch on board! Restaurants "ARKADA" in Podstrana and "ARGO" in Stobreč are the best places to eat out. You can also go to pizzeria "MARGHERITA" (20 meters from the apartment) and restaurant "STRUJA" on the main street of Stobreč to have quite good food. If you have the car is better because you can be indipendent to go everywhere and to do some shopping in superstores as “KONZUM” & “PLODINE” that are along Ulica kralja Stjepana Držislava. Otherwise the bus number 25 goes from Stobreč to Split in approx. 30 minutes. What else? If we could we would go there again today! Thanks a lot Babic family!!!

For Tina's apartment is too early the hosting or she is not expert in this activity. The apartment we lived in was: A) perfect about the kitchen (all the structure is brand new and very good il level of quality about fornitures). Bathroom: should be better in refurbishment. Bedroom was too "minimalist": there was the double bed (this is ok), and .... nothing else in the room, apart only one little "comodino" (no abat-jours and no wardrobe for our suites. The part outside the apartment is still "under construction" so not idoneous for stay outside. No view at all from our apartment that is in the back part of the building. I don't know if Tina manages other apartment in the building (maybe yes) and probably the global evaluation for different apartment could be less critical. She was gentle with us but we weren't satisfied of her location indeed. By the contrary, Split is really wonderful and easy to reach by car.

The apartment was nice and very clean. Tinas family was also very nice and they did show us everything important we need to know. The apartment its on the top of a hill, but there is a good restaurant next to it and a peacefully "private beach" and you can wall to get everything you need. It was a great stay.
