When Paul requested a reservation, I was in eastern Nebraska. I explained that I wouldn't be home until Monday, the same day they were to arrive, and the East cabin would not be ready until late in the afternoon. Paul said that was fine, they wouldn't arrive late afternoon or early evening. Paul and Liana arrived around 4:00 to 4:30pm. My house cleaner and I were not finished with the cleaning. I guess that is what Paul means by being a late host because I was at the property when he arrived.
The bug problem. We live on a ranch. The East cabin is surrounded by trees and the great outdoors. Bugs live there. We have had an unusually warm fall season and have yet to have a hard freeze. Therefore the bugs are alive and well. At this time of the year a bug that resembles a lady bug arrives and drives us all crazy. Paul and Liana had the misfortune to arrive at the same time. I want Airbnb to understand that my cabins are NOT infested with bugs. I have a pest control that comes regularly to ensure a pest free house. But, when fall arrives, the outside bugs are looking for a place to relocate. I am truely sorry that Paul and Liana had to experience that. As soon as we have a hard freeze the problem will disappear.
I know that any negative comments will reflect on my score. I feel that my house cleaner, Monica does an incredible job cleaning but sometimes we encounter a situation that is simply out of our control.
